  • You can also reset your immune system by contracting measles.

C'mon anti-vaxxers, if you really want to get rid of your current immune responses, there are ways of doing that. Just take a trip to West Texas.

    (Please don't though.)

  • You KNOW there's a brothel that constantly brews polyjuice. Bring in a hair from the person you're attracted to, and have sex with (someone who looks exactly like) them!

You can even obliviate the polyjuice'd person afterwards and leave no evidence behind. Consent in the wizarding world is beyond fucked.

  • I should not be involved with people who turn a blind eye to fascism.

    Full stop.

I'm sorry to say that you already know what you have to do. There's no easy way to do it other than to just do it. If it makes the process easier, you don't have to pose it as "it's me or them" because you already know what his answer will be. If he was going to change, he's had plenty of opportunities already.

Don't wait for him anymore. Live YOUR life.

  • Slow reply

  • I had a coworker do it to me yesterday.

"Thanks for taking care of that issue with Jeremy."

    "Sure, no problem at all!"

"It's just weird because he told me the opposite thing yesterday."

Working on Jeremy's issue and forget to respond..

    "Are you mad at me?"

  • Hello department,

Due to a recent policy change, the currently planned process change has been postponed. This is in part due to the new policy requiring all teams review and confirm that their work will not be impacted by any process change. Any issues that are discovered during these internal discussions must be immediately brought to management. Issues discovered this way will also set new policies to ensure the issue is fully resolved prior to any new process change. Please discuss the attached policy change(s) amongst your team and provide feedback prior to the postponed process change date. Please note that any feedback provided after the postponed process change date will not be accepted, per company policy. Any team who does not provide feedback prior to the posted deadline will require additional policies to endure promptness.

"Can you confirm if this impacts your team by tomorrow? It's holding up the release, and management is ready to move on it."

  • TYT telling the trans woman on staff that "Ana knows better than she does about how to help the trans community" was the final straw for me. You don't get to silence a minority group by saying you're doing it for their benefit.

The subsequent doubling down of "actually we're the victims here!" was just confirmation.

  • Fair point

  • OP already did reach out to someone for help. Thats what the disability claim is.

Do you see how requiring an extra step of "asking for help" to complete the paperwork to "ask for help" starts to be overly burdensome when it's someone specifically asking for help with their executive disfunction?

It's like requiring someone who doesn't speak English to fill out a form in English to enroll in an 'English as a second language' class.

  • You realize you're doing the "lazy doctor" routine right now, right?

You already decided on an answer and when confronted with a discrepancy, you decided that your understanding is correct and this specific situation is the outlier.

That's the exact same thought process you're complaining about.

  • You're absolutely right. It's hard for me to switch out of using 'TERF' because it offended them, but no one is even pretending to be a feminist anymore. I need to find a new shorthand name for "bigoted towards trans people specifically".
