  • I use Emby with the lifetime premier (their 'premium' version).

Works great, but honestly I would just point people to Jellyfin unless Emby provides something specific you need. I just use it because it's what I've had for years.

  • I'm assuming this for anyone who bought directly from their website? You don't need to enter an email into anything they have software wise to my knowledge.

Still sucks it happened but they seem to be taking the right approach to fixing it imo.

  • I had to switch over to my Windows drive for this game on my desktop. It's pushing my 11700kf and 3080 a little to hard on the Linux side than what i'd like unfortunately. Hoping it's just the beta but we'll see at launch.

  • I use my steam deck docked primarily to stream from my main PC to my living room. I haven't noticed any battery degradation when I do use it in handheld. I got it March 2022.

Also if you happen to be using Emby as a media server, the emby theater app image supports controller :)

  • I got a 7a the day it released and the only issue I've really had on this list is the fingerprint issue, but I've had issues with every in screen finger printer reader I've ever used, not really a 7a specific issue.

  • The complexity and variety of the weapons, as well as the different monsters and the personalities is what I like about them. It's basically a boss rush game with the occasional gathering session for environmental resources.

It's not a game for everyone, and it's kinda a running meme that everyone drops it shortly after there first time playing it, only to come back years later and get completely hooked.

If you do decide to try it, I really suggest messing around with the weapons in the training area until you find one interesting to you, and then searching up a guide for it.
