yup. im single income with a wife that has a lot of medical issues. We barely stay afloat but if I was single I would be rich. If we had universal healthcare we would be doing great to.

I don't think 9/11 would have been successful under him. The Clinton administration was well aware of the danger but the bush administration refused to talk to the outgoing administration. Heck the patriot act was only necessary because the bush administration was not doing its job and bringing together the information it received from various agencies. The patriot act was basically a work around against incompetent presidential administrations.

I can agree with the second part but the first part is just a phrasing to make it sound bad. I mean the move to use the republicans blunder against them sounds a lot better. I don't really know what internal talk went with the democrats but I would not be surprised if it was somewhat like what we see online but with the membership with some saying we can't go with anything they do on principle and others saying wait a second doing that will be overall worse.

My feeling is if you never read the books its likely going to seem like a nice fantasy series and you likely won't miss the inconsistency due to some changes but you might if your a detailed oriented person although they skip stuff to the point were it might be noticed. Like all of a sudden folks are together or in a place and they don't go through how they got there. I do think having read the books makes it more of an issue but there is a guy who said he read the books through twice (no mean feet as there are a lot of them and each one is like a dictionary in size) and still likes it so I guess to each his own. That further being said my wife does not like it and she never read any of the books and loved the lord of the rings (which she had also never read). She won't even watch it with me after season one although I don't really encourage it since I watch and then complain about it to her.

I found shitz creek to be like ok but not as good as it was made out to be to me.

I can never be happy with a smartphone until it can be foss both hardware and software and yet still be able to be used for what I need which is required apps from vendors. Ultimately its impossible for me to like it. I have to have one sometimes with work so I get one with sorta best sorta price per quality looking mainly at the camera.

The thing is trumps main focus right now is tearing apart the government but he does hit road blocks in that you can't just fire people without reason unless they have not been there long. So its being fought and he is limited. In a government shutdown scenario the executive (trump) has to furlough people and can decide who is necessary and who is not. Courts can't put a stop to it because its a furlough due to a shutdown. Then any bad effects can now be blamed on the democrats plus when the shutdown is over he can point to we ran well enough without the furloughed folks which is why they should be let go. The shutdown is not really a good option. I get the feeling but the smart move was to prevent the shutdown.

I already went through that it plays into his hands. now he can furlough whoever he likes and the court can't say boo. right now the firings are being challenged and that is a good thing. - Look im adding this here as I meant to put it before. My knee jerk reaction was the same. Resist no matter what but I have outlayed why its worse to allow the shutdown is all. Be mad thats fine. But I just thought it over and realized the shutdown could be and likely would be worse and just allow trump to do what he is doing easier. He effectively is shutting down the government on a permanent basis.

government is not stopped. we have had government shutdowns and things keep going. non essential government as chosen by the executive arm of the government are shutdown. I have been through two or three shutdowns. everything is not shut down. I mean I have listed why its actually worse if its shut down in this particular scenario. there is not more to tell. it really does play into their favor and the only reason they would not want to overtly do it is optics.

I mean I made my point but will expand. Under shutdown. They furlough anyone they want. They say any bad effects are from the shutdown (democrats). Courts are powerless to say who gets furloughed because its a shutdown (as opposed to unlawful firings). After shutdown they fire furloughed people because hey they got by without them during the shutdown (even though they really didn't). They got what they want either way but since the government is the only one challenging the illegal behavior its in some ways better with the shutdown especially when they can blame dems for it. I honestly think the shudown is preferable for them as long as they can say its not their fault.

It would have looked incredibly bad for them to shut it down. They are the party in control. Its their bill. Its not like shuttding down is way better its merely a win win for them. Its only the minority party where it makes a differnece. All previous cases where the presidency was not looking to simply tear apart the government a shutdown was bad for them but since it effectively does what trump is already doing it would not really matter much for him.
