  • You know this war that you're just now gaining a lot of momentum in? How bout we pause it and you come talk alone in one of the countries where there's a warrant for your arrest. We super swear we won't enforce it and you can believe it because we lie to our allies all the time but you're not our ally!

  • Subsidies for meat alternatives are a very liberal non-solution. The tech is not there for meat outside of ground beef and the state shouldn't be subsidizing to create a different problem, the issue with the USA's ridiculous meat overproduction and consumption isn't that there's a slaughter in the process, it's that the amount of manpower/water/energy required is ridiculous. The subsidies should be substantially reduced for meat and dairy, and price controls (or outright government handouts) should be in place for staple foodstuffs.

If grains and legumes become cheaper, people will find a way to make them tastier and eat them way more often.

  • Virgin bond vigilantism: boring, small impact

Chad regular vigilantism: flamboyant, line hits the floor

  • Every single time? Lmao.

What the fuck did Joe Biden fix? Did he fix the genocide in Gaza, did he? Did Obama fix the rampant corruption and financialization that led to the 2008 crash? What was he fixing when he had his cabinet orchestrate the maidan coup? Did Clinton fix the war on drugs with the crime bill?

Liberals don't fix jack shit. They pretend now it's too late to do anything, theyre powerless, at best things can stay mostly the same. And you better behave and vote for them next time because these laws they just passed can be used to facilitate a lot of fascism (it's ok for them to have them because they're not fascists though!)

    Deeply ahistorical, terminally unserious.

  • Priests at the altar of capital e Economics

  • Validity of theory isn't based on what its writers do, but on what its students do. It's a social science and without practical application it is absolutely worthless.

Marx, Engels and Lenin have been proven right by the practice of Marxist-Leninists, it isn't the rule that the best theorists are also revolutionary leaders, but revolutionary leaders by their success prove the worth of the theory they applied to their circumstances.

I've never met a Bordiga follower whose achievements amount to more than writing in opposition to AES. You didn't need to read leftcoms for that.

  • More than enabling competition the strength of FOSS is that it enables cooperation.

One guy in his bedroom can't build a huge enterprise level app, but a hundred people working on what they have expertise at? They absolutely can

  • Y'all already have the one constitutional right that'll solve this

  • They have "thin margins" because the C suite charges about 50k per email sent. Fucking parasites.

  • And then they'd just sell it anyway because who the fuck is gonna do anything to them

  • Bordiga lmao

I don't do shit but hate on communists, and that's the truly revolutionary stance.

  • I dont oppose colonialism

  • Capitalism spent centuries being the secondary mode of production under feudalism before the bourgeoisie had developed the productive forces enough to transition away from feudalism. The USSR, Albania and others attempted to force a socialist mode or production before the productive forces were sufficiently developed and it didn't work. China's strategy of development of the productive forces has had very little downside and I think it's unreasonable and kind of suspect to want them to turn back (to policies that ultras would also condemn for one reason or another, as they always do). Poverty fetishism isn't Marxist and isn't scientific.

Or you could just read The State and Revolution where Lenin goes into it for about a hundred pages. It's been out for over a century.

  • What the fuck is an authoritarian government? The entire point of government is to wield authority.

  • The split of a nation state into multiple smaller ones, usually along cultural or ethnic lines as in the Balkan states, Yugoslavia having split into Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, Bosnia

  • I just twisted up into funny shapes like Professor Crocker shouting "Operation Gladio"

  • The government that is currently considering layoffs for a big chunk of the CIA, the bedrock of anti-insurgency? The one that just jettisoned USAID and has put vampire appointments on every federal regulatory body? Is that what centralizing and strengthening itself looks like?

  • If the US balkanizes, "Democrat" and "Republican" isn't where the split will happen. Less than half the voting population even identifies with either party, ffs.

There's plenty of cultural, religious and legal splits that could lead to a split. California is the obvious example, which would have to split with or take over Nevada and Colorado for the river and the dam. Texans has never been shy about longing for their own microstate and the swamp south has about as much in common with Seattle or Illinois as they do with British Columbia, if that.
