  • "At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer, if it ever reach us, it must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen, we must live through all time, or die by suicide."

  • MAGA will say this was an example of government "waste and corruption".

    "Thank Obama"

  • I wonder if the winding down of US Cyber Reach against Russia being diminished had something to do with it.....

    Zelensky Visits KSA

I'd just like to point out that this picture is particularly impressive.

You are not supposed to touch the Crown Prince in any circumstances.

Seeing him embrace Zelensky speaks volumes.

    Memories

  • The single most annoying piece of software I have ever dealt with is in these pics....

I have ptsd from those days.

  • Although I do respect the problem, and I accept there will always be a loose cog somewhere that could be exploited or abused, the fear o if is really sociaty/country based.

If you live in a "decent-wish" country with a strong set of laws, and those laws put you under the microscope or you have something g to hide, I've come to the personal realization that it's not really as much of a problem as some make it out to be.

  • Not like everyone was shouting to the airwaves this was going to happen.

I don't care if he's brown, black, Chinese or wherever from. If someone deserves it, it's people like him.

  • What is this L take my guy?

Elon was loved by every forward facing democratic liberalism / é o-conscious person for years.

You cannot read people's hearts or minds except from how they act.

And I did not see any favist/overreaching actions, even the actual delusion of grandeur, when Obama was president.

    On the contrary.

And if I remember correctly Obama told him off in multiple instances.

  • Rdr2 is, on par with DS, one of the best cinematic adventures I've ever played.

  • Isn't this the guy Trump praised way back when?

    "ICC is a criminal organization!"

    • Trump, soon
  • I've gone down the rabbit hole hard a couple years back, and I must say, coming out the other end, surveillance integration and technological evolution aren't bad per se, l. The usage, or rather the effect to wich some people are using it is the problem.

  • Well, I have some pieces of hardware that, unfortunately, simply don't work/aren't developed yet on Linux.

Don't get me wrong, I tried.

A couple days back I spun up a fresh install on both machines and methodicly tried to install every system step by step, but some of the solutions available simply don't fit my setup or are still way too cumbersome to be effectively used.

I will, most probably, migrate all my other "simpler" options gradually though.

  • I got that immediatly after I joined and blocked it from bot behaviour.

Is this a known meme arround here?

  • I was coming on this thread to say "Anonymous better claim this and come out of stasis..."

    Your comment made my day!

  • "Human Rights Watch list is a Soros backed globalist scheme to hurt the US."

Supporting EU Innovation: My Shift Away from US Tech Giants

I've decided to make some significant changes in my digital life. I've taken the plunge and am rooting out most US-based services from my usage list. This includes canceling all my streaming subscriptions, putting my Reddit account in cold storage, and deleting my Twitter accounts. Additionally, I'm in the process of removing my presence from Meta platforms. This shift is part of my effort to simplify and re-evaluate my online habits and dependencies.

One of the primary reasons for this change is the importance of bolstering the EU economy. By supporting European companies and services, I believe we can foster innovation and growth within our own region. This not only strengthens our economic independence but also encourages the development of solutions tailored to our specific needs and values.

In my exploration of EU-based alternatives, I've found that while they may be slightly more expensive, they often offer superior technology and usability. The focus on quality, privacy, and u
