  • Same here in Canada. I think its legitimate learners. Not sure why you think age has anything to do with it, theres no max age to learn to drive. Hell, my late grandma didn't get her licence/learners permit until she was in her 60s.

Could be related to an influx of immigrations as well, plenty of people didn't have the luxury to get a drivers licence or own a vehicle.

That or people are just too lazy to remove them haha.

    • No shitty P2W mechanic bullshit.
    • Full game on release.
    • no always online requirement.
    • not completely unplayable at launch tripple A title.
    • content amount is worth its purchase value.
    • community mod support, which drives improvements and long term playability.
    • Development transparency on what the game is and where its headed.

Does it have bugs, of course, nothings perfect.

Can't say too many games on the scale of BG3 came out this year that can check as many boxes. It takes GotY for me as well personally.

  • Yep, one in the utility room by the furnace, one in the upstairs front door closet beside the kitchen, and one in the garage. Haven't had to use them for myself personally... but the neighbours came slamming on the door a few times needing one.

IMO every residence should have one handy. Never know what could happen or who might need one. I really should get one thats rated for electrical fires however.

  • Not the dude that you replied to, but heres my view.

There's alot of linux based memes present on lemmy, and lots of "Linux btw" posters. It's pretty disproportionate compared to other online locations of discussion. Im guessing the fediverse in general draws more of this crowd due to the nuances of it and similarly to how linux operates openly, etc, etc.

As a sysadmin whos focus is on all types of systems, it definitely doesn't bother or stick out much for me personally either, but there's for sure a higher content % about linux compared to other places. Which might get anoying to some people.

  • You can track the health status of most smart enabled ssds. Can use a tool like crystal disk info

Personally i have 2 7 year old ssds going strong without issue. Mainly used for storage and games, so the r/w rates been pretty lower on them.

Ssds do have a total maximum write cycles to nand. Really depends on the use cases over the 5 years.

  • Starfield has its issues for sure. But anyone rating it worse than FO76 is absolutely delusional. Or atleast if we're comparing launch vs. launch. Not launch vs. 5 years of active update post launch.

Edit: i mean my point literally. I have played both and this is my opinion about both games. This isn't meant to be a debate about rating systems nor the games lol.

Next step in my 3D printing journey. Resin maybe?

Good day everyone. Been into the hobby since around 2014. I own 3 FDM printers currently.

Started on a Ecker Tech reprap kit.

Got a Wanhao D3, modified the hell outta it.

Latest as of a few years ago is a Ender 5Plus, have a CoreXY kit on there, swapped the board to a 32bit BTT, and added a microswiss extrusion assembly.

The FDMs have done me well over the years, and I've highly enjoyed tinkering around with them. But now I have the itch for something new and fresh. I'm thinking of dipping my toes into the resin printer market, and am looking for some reccomdations and experiences of fellow 3D printer enthusiasts.

I'd like to keep it around $2000 CAD (roughly 1500 USD, ouch CAD lol). I'm no stranger to tinkering and modifying. Have a shop with plenty of space, ventilation, and what not.

If you have any suggestions on a new FDM printer I'm all ears! (Maybe somthing multi-filament compatible?) So feel free to suggest some as well.

    Thanks in advanced!
