Holy shit the one on the left is cute
Thank you very much! I appreciate it
I was thinking of following a previous comment's suggestion to install Linux first so it owns the bootloader, and then installing windows later
Good point! Thank you!
Nice! Thanks
Alright. Thank you so much :)
Great suggestion! Thanks
Nice! Thanks
Ah, I already have a dual boot installed, but Windows is currently on the "best" drive while Linux is on a side drive. If I am switching to Linux full time, I would like to have Linux on the main drive and Windows on the side one :)
I get what you mean. I've been dual-booting Linux and Windows for a while now, and Linux has been great to me, honestly. It's just that since Linux was the side-partition and windows was the main one, I had doubts when it came to switching the hierarchy around. I got some great ideas here though, and thank you for your warning. I appreciate it :)

Getting ready to switch to Linux full time
But I've got two doubts remaining.
Currently, I'm running Windows 11, but I'd still like the ability to dual boot for certain games which don't necessarily work with Linux for various reasons. Is it possible to move a windows install to a different drive and then install Linux on the main drive instead?
If yes, how do I do it?
Second doubt is if I'll have many issues daily driving Linux if I have an Nvidia card
You're right! It did! Thanks a lot, pal! You taught me something super neat and I appreciate it!
I appreciate your patience with me here :P
@aihorde@lemmy.dbzer0.com draw for me a picture taken at night with a trail camera with absolutely no washing machines roaming free
Thank you very much. I'll give it another shot with the annotation.
Draw a picture of a poker table without any poker chips what so ever
I think I messed up the annotation
Wait, this seems incredible. Do you have to be in the same instance or does it work anywhere? @aihorde@lemmy.dbzer0.com Can you draw a smart phone without a rotary phone dial?
Just say it's because he got bruised from the punch. He can't read the speech bubble, can he?
I think that's entirely fair.
I do wonder how much of that money has gone to the developers themselves, and not just some executive
I never see anyone bring up Queen Leene in the conversation about how to pronounce "Marle"
I think it's just "Marl" to make the connection to "Leene" feel more natural. "Marl | Leene".
Marleen
Unless you pronounce it "Marlie" and "Leenie".
Taking an "um ackschully" to the extreme! You're a legend!
B... But that's not a bunny?
Clever! Maybe I should steal that line

Linux video capture cards
Hey! I've been wanting to make the switch to Linux for a while now, and I've dual booted Mint for a while. I realize that most games work well with Linux, but I can't seem to get my Elgato HD60 Pro to work. (Pci-e capture card)
I just want to be able to grab gameplay with HDMI passthrough on Linux, and right now, this is my biggest hurdle (along with Adobe not working well, but I'm gonna switch to davinci resolve for that)
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Question from an educator
Hi, guys. I work at a school where we use iPads for music education. We've got a bit of an issue though. Some kids delete other people's music projects, and that obviously sucks.
Is there a way to lock certain files so the kids can give their own files their own password protection or something so nobody gets their stuff sabotaged?
Other creative solutions are appreciated as well!
Thanks guys!
Edit: The music room has a Mac, so thanks to your helpful suggestions, we're gonna try with the AirDrop method where they drop to the host machine that the teacher has access to.
Wanted to suggest some games
Hi, new here to this instance. Also first post on Lemmy, I guess? Sorry if this is the wrong place. There was no "games"-community here, and I wanted to share with the local instance.
Anyway, wanted to recommend some games I've played recently that are somewhat "furry" in their themes.
- Pseudoregalia A really fun N64 inspired metroidvania where you play as a goat-lady who has to escape a dream world. Extremely satisfying movement and optional costumes to earn. It's great!

- Corn Kidz 64 A really fun N64 inspired collect-a-thon where you play as a goat-kid who has to escape a dream world. Extremely satisfying movement and... Uh... They sound really similar now that I write it out, but they're real fun.
