Spent the easter weekend with my Australian relatives; it's been truly wonderful

About 630€ worth of SteelSeries gaming peripherals including their flagship keyboard and mouse at the time.
I had to RMA the keyboard twice because of its input messing up; I didn't bother trying to replace the third one once that messed up, I just bought a Model M instead. The mouse was fine, albeit very over-engineered; It has an OLED screen on its side and a vibration motor for some reason. Had to RMA that once for wear issues but I still use the second one as it's a great mouse all things considered.
Their customer support is great, their products not so much.

Someone once said on here that NEC made TVs like that but I couldn't find anything

My experience with Australia so far.

You could always go for /e/os though
Edit: Didn't know it was this bad...

Eh, I'd rather sell old flagship phones on and have them be used as a phone for a while longer...

"computer CPUs" is great as well.

"I'm sorry; we predicted that, if we were to release you now, you'll murder someone."

Reminder to watch Minority Report again... I don't even remember whether that movie was any good or not

Yes, it's even worse than that; it's worse²

I still don't believe that Kubrick actually wanted the movie to be as bad as it was...

Even worse, he directed Earwig and the Witch... Tales From Earthsea was at least somewhat competent

Looks like LEDVANCE GmbH is actually the manufacturer

Celebrate 50 years of Microsoft by switching to Linux

Sounds like he definitely deserves it

I wouldn't say that I get traumatised by social interactions going wrong but they definitely get stuck in my head for a while; I keep thinking about what I could have done differently, even if it wasn't really my fault.
You win a 2 week all expense paid trip to the country of your choice... where are you going and why?

2 weeks is not enough for Australia or New Zealand so I'll probably go for Sweden

Well, you know what they say; everyone's got cancer according to WebMD...

Windows computers that is

Does it still let you sign in locally if you disable network interfaces in BIOS?
Don't think so. The setup itself can't complete without internet.
ThinkPad P14s G5 AMD OLED in Germany
Does anyone know how to order or configure the P14s G5 AMD with a OLED display on the German Lenovo site?
The OLED display seems to be NA exclusive apart from a few overpriced offers from third party sites...

Realign - Red Vox (2020)

Can someone ID this comic strip?

Some time ago, I pulled this sticker off our old fridge before we got rid of it and put it onto my PC's side panel (don't ask me why, I guess I thought it looked cool). I don't exactly know where it came from or who put it there, although I suspect it was put there by a Australian relative that was visiting us a long time ago (the Murrumbidgee is a river in NSW, Australia).
Does anyone know the artist or name of this if it even has one? There's no obvious signature that I can see.
Feel free to remove if this isn't allowed.
Edit: I've since found out that this comic strip was actually made by the relative who put it on our fridge. It depicts something that had happened to them; I won't go into it further cause they don't know that I've even posted this here but yeah

Inside - Eloy (1973)

Town Centre - Squid (2019)

Souvlaki - Slowdive (1993)

My IBM Model M from 1993

(Additional processing power provided by the Intel i486 DX)

Old Locomotive - The Murlocs (2017)

Their best album IMO

Pixel 6 Pro main camera lens jolts around violently when going into video mode
When switching into video mode from photo mode or vice versa the main lens' OIS kinda jolts it around which makes a rather loud click.
I'm on Android 14 and the latest Google Camera update.

Hall Of The Mountain Grill - Hawkwind (1974)

Probably my favourite album cover, really sets the mood for the music as well

Updated Edge and it now seems to put a frame with rounded corners around every website

Edit: Looks like you can opt-out of that "new look and feel" pretty easily under the appearance settings but still, whats with putting rounded corners everywhere?
Edit 2: "Explore the web with a softer, more friendly aesthetic featuring rounded corners [..] Designed to complement your operating system, whether on Windows 11, MacOS, or Linux." The fuck does that mean? Windows 11 fair enough but most Linux distros don't look like that at all.

Polygondwanaland - King Gizzard & The Wizard Lizard (2017)

One of the seven albums they've released that year and in my opinion also their best one so far.

You can't imagine how much this annoyed me...
