  • I've recently come into the mindset that buying stuff doesn't make me happy anyway. If it's something I need, like an oil change, or bike tire, sure I'll pay for it. But things that I WANT have kind of gone to the wayside. Not because I can't afford it, but because I'm no happier with more stuff.

Also, fuck these shitty companies squeezing every last dime out of us. I'll shop at the thrift store for clothes and buy stuff used on craigslist/ebay if I need it.

  • My number 1 red flag is they have relationships that don't last. I remember I had a girlfriend in college who didn't have any girl friends, just guy friends and even they weren't around long. I found out it was because she was an attention seeking narcissistic cuckoo.

Also, my Uncle is a chronic liar. He is VERY entertaining, but a liar none-the-less. He will move from group to group until somone finds out he's full of shit. From a social club, to adult sports, a biker gang, camping club, and the list goes on and on.

My number 2 red flag is that they can't be corrected or are never wrong. They are willing to argue ludicrous points just to feel right and relevant. They also pick the dumbest things to argue over when all they have to do is answer something like, "That's crazy." Normal people eventually admit fault and learn. Narcissists will never learn.

  • That will only help the cause. I know these doomscrollers really want Daddy Trump to end democracy so they can be right, but most of the people in reality would lose their shit and actually do something if he called for Martial law. You'll say it's a different situation, but look what happened in South Korea just recently.

  • I pay monthly to get free shipping on things that I realized I didn't even need in the first place. I haven't bought anything in a month, and realized that I was buying things only because I could, not because I needed them.

  • I've found that even if there was someone who would come out and fix things, they charge so much that it's unreasonable anyway. YouTube has thousands of videos showing how to fix things and using the opportunity to learn to do it on your own is very beneficial long term. But I get it, because I don't always want to learn.

  • I was 21 years old on Christmas Eve in 2008 when I got a call that my best friend died in Iraq. This instigated a decade and a half long bout of alcoholism that I still fight. I'd die to be a teenage kid in my parent's house. I've been in the streets. What have you done?

  • I'm so sick of these high tower pseudo-big brain "told ya so" comments. "I saw the end of the US before it's inception. I saw the end of the US when humans migrated from Siberia 16,000 years ago!" Well, you are so smart and I'm so proud of you, but you aren't adding a damn thing to the conversation.

  • As a Michigander, this is giving me hope. These fucking moron Trump voters showed up to the booth and didn't even vote straight ticket and marked Trump only. This means when he's off the ballot, they might not even show up to the polls anymore.
