A leaked specs sheet suggests the US and Canada are getting the Qualcomm chipset. Samsung is expected to introduce the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy...

Yep. That's the point.
LED backlit has LCD sub pixels in the front. The whole LED backlight might not burn (though can still happen).
Still longer life than a tual LED sub pixels.
For phones, I prefer an LED. Better blacks and looks good, especially when used at night.
For work laptops and displays, I prefer LCD that are matte. Less reflection, usually cheaper in price, and no harm in it displaying a static image for extended number of hours everyday.
Brave bought ad space on YouTube, and showed an ad on how to block ads on YouTube.
Mozilla could have done something similar with UBO but they just keep missing so many golden chances.
You will be surprised how many old people rely on health monitoring devices that use 2G to send basic data.
Been testing the latest version of summit.
I can confirm that the cache gets trimmed and is lowered after a span of 24 hours.
Thanks for your help.
Yeah. Syncing is the only thing that stops me from using LibreWolf.
Absolutely disgusting website.
Only reason to use it for job search. Where I am it has become defacto site for hunting jobs.
You can just export them and import them again.
Create a fake account with a temporary email and browse.

Side bar communities sort order
I am unsure if it's a bug but the list of communities on the sidebar begins all sorted but then the order is mixed at the end.
Is this a bug or am I missing an option somewhere in the app?
Upvote and Downvote arrows colour issue
After amending the default upvote and Downvote colours, using the compact layout, it looks like there is a bug where the small arrows do not use the new colours. Instead, they use the initial default colours originally set.
I will be adding a comments with screenshots.
Edit: just noticed that an app restart resolved this issue. So it could be a minor bug.

That's a lot to honest.
He's done a great job. Good son.
I think you can if you do not involve it in creating something.
For example, giving it a document and asking it questions about it.
Seinfeld hands down.
For me, it's always been Phoebe Judge from the podcast Criminal.
When I started, I had accounts on world, ml, and beehaw.
World seemed fine and a more general instance so stuck with it.
I have seen a lot of people complaining that it's difficult to join lemmy. Just a quick look through join lemmy and testing out a few accounts. It all does it easily.
That's one of the issues I had when on Reddit. The developer used to go AWOL for extended periods of time. Not an issue on Reddit but definitely an issue here. Since then, I have switched to infinity for Reddit and kept using free apps.
Now on lemmy, I still use free apps (mainly voyager) and wouldn't pay money for sync.
On an additional note, I see the developer of boost doing something similar.
And have you installed lineage on your new phone?
I usually go with Samsung phones as I am not a fan of pixel. However, I use a lot of banking apps and I am not sure if they block usage once they detect a jailbroken phone.
Has that happened to you?
I was thinking of switching to Graphene but I then read your comment.
Would you be able to honestly tell me why you ditched Graphene?
Question about storage
I have tried using summit and noticed that the amount of data the app stores is high.
Currently, the app stores around 1.5 GB of data and cache on the phone.
Comparing to an app like voyager, voyager hardly crosses the 100 MB.
I have two questions:
Thanks

Theme and look consistently
For a more consistent look, would it be possible to slightly amend the look and feel of the app to make the upvote and downvote arrows also follow the colour of the text?
Bottom navigation bar text
Does summit have the option of hiding the text shown in the bottom navigation bar?
Can anyone explain the reason behind the drop in MAU that happened end of January?
Noticed this drop and would love to know the reason behind it.
Disable text post icon
Is there a way in Summit to hide or disable text post thumbnails?
Not sure if it exists or not.
Feature Request: Preferred dark theme
I use the follow system when setting a theme. However, Thunder defaults to gray theme rather than amoled.
Would love to have the option to set a preferred dark theme so that it defaults to the amoled option instead.
How can a normal lemmy user contribute in reducing the amount of spam posted without being a mod?
Reddit started doing what they always wanted to do, sell user content to AI.
Samsung Galaxy S24,S24+ to be cheaper in EU
A leaked specs sheet suggests the US and Canada are getting the Qualcomm chipset. Samsung is expected to introduce the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy...
Bloody Samsung think a base S24 for €900 is cheap. Not to mention the shitty Exynos it comes with in Europe.
Lemmy apps market share
Hello everyone.
I apologise in advance if this is the wrong place to post this question. I am not sure if this exists, but, is there a website or a graph somewhere that shows the market share/downloads/installs or all Lemmy apps available?
Thank you.
