Partially sighted stroke and cancer patient, learning to walk again, going through months of foot surgeries. Fighting a disability benefit appeal. I won my last appeal just 2 years ago and am now going through yet another one. All I want is peaceful, painless assisted suicide.

UK School dinner lady says she has to "turn away 10 to 15 children" per shift without food as they can't afford a school lunch, though "this might be the only meal they would get all day."

  • I'm not going to. I just wanted to watch a video but it's not worth doing this for.

    Facebook is so sinister.

I found a video online that I want to watch. The trouble is, it's on facebook and it says you need an account to watch it. So I tried to sign up to facebook, but when it gets to a certain stage in the process it says:

**Confirm your identity with a video selfie

To make sure that you're a real person, we need you to record a video selfie. We'll ask you to move your head during the recording to help us capture your face at different angles.**

What the hell? Is it me, or does this seem insanely sinister? what do they want this for?

    Disgusting conversation on TV.

My landlady spends all day watching right-wing news/chat programmes on TV, like GB news and all that. Today I overheard a conversation on TV, they were talking about how children of poor parents shouldn't expect society to feed them. A man phoned in to say he and his wife always fed their own kids, and the taxpayer shouldn't be expected to feed other people's kids. He said he'd travelled the world and had seen "real poverty" in other countries.

The presenter (a horrible woman, can't remember her name but whenever she's on TV she is always saying awful things) was agreeing with him.

What kind of sick, evil minds think it's OK to let kids go without food in the sixth richest country on earth? Who think it's fine to punish kids for their parents inability to feed them? Let's not forget many of these parents are in full time work but their wages are so low they can't afford rent and food.

And these conservative idiots always want to save a penny now, even if it costs pounds later

Target met - thank you so much everyone!

Thank you so much to those who came through. I just need another £60 to meet my target so I don't have to keep reposting this again and again throughout the year. Well, I will try here just once more for now.

Inquest finds housebound disabled woman with brain cyst committed suicide because her disability benefits were wrongly stopped. Coroner "recommends" DWP compensate her family with £10K.

There have been so many more cases like this. The previous UK government actually destroyed records of them in an attempt to keep them secret.

Only £10K compernsation. If the DWP even pays it, they've still saved money by her death. First they came for the disabled......

Repost - No responses, so I'll make it easier. Target met, thank you!

I made a post asking someone to send me some laundry disinfectant. I need it because I'm an immunocompromised cancer patient and recovering from surgery. I get a lot of infections, especially skin infections. On multiple occasions the skin infections have gotten so bad I've been hospitalised to treat them. The pharmacist recommended I use this laundry disinfectant and it's helped a lot.

I haven't had any responses, maybe people find it too difficult to order it. The reason I prefer people to end me things instead of money is because if I win my disability benefit appeal I will have to explain any money going into my account to the DWP. But I am really getting desperate for this stuff. Perhaps someone would be more likely to respond if I put my paypal address after all.

Would anyone send me some laundry disinfectant? - No response yet. You don't need to be in the UK to order it. need met, thank you.

I'm immunocompromised due to being a cancer patient, and need to keep my feet clean as they heal from surgery. I get a lot of infections due to this and have been advised by my pharmacist to always wash my laundry in this disinfectant. It really helps a lot, but it's not available on the NHS, I have to buy it myself. Because I'm still waiting to hear about my disability benefits, I'm not able to pay for it. If anyone is willing to order some of this and send it to me, please PM me.

Animal Equality are having their donations matched.

They're a charity who fight against factory farming. If you sign up to donate at the moment, someone is matching the donations, so your donation will be worth double.

Would anyone help me out with a supermarket voucher?

The DWP sent me a letter recently, estimating I won't hear about my disability benefits result until January.

I'm now recovered enough from my foot surgery to be able to wear shoes and walk a little, so either supermarket is fine as I don't need to order online any more. If anyone can help, please send a supermarket gift card to my email address, [email protected]

The car has been repaired! And I've been able to start wearing shoes as my surgical wounds have healed. I'll still always have mobility problems because of my stroke but at least I am not completely trapped indoors any more.
