  • Have you seen the wild variations on Coca Cola?! Should be illegal to charge such insanely different prices for exactly the same product just because of the size of the bottle. I get buying in bulk should be cheaper (think 5gal pail of mayo at Costco) than single servings but come on. What’s the cost difference to the manufacturer between 750ml bottles and a 2L bottle.

  • The first time I saw this thing it was marketed as something to hold a pair of eye glasses on the front of a shirt if you don’t have a pocket. One half goes on the inside of your shirt and the other goes on the outside. They’re held together, in place, with really strong magnets.

    Work boots made in Ontario

I’m wearing my first pair of Bucks boots right now. Great hand made alternative to the Blundstones I’ve been wearing at work for years. A tiny bit cheaper too.

  • Puts on tinfoil hat… Ok, so I heard, the Mexicans couldn’t keep up with demand for cane sugar Coke in border towns so they had to start using HFCS to be able to pump out enough product. Because of more relaxed labeling laws they didn’t have to tell anyone.

On a more serious note, have you ever tried Jones Soda? They use cane sugar and they make the best cream soda you’re ever gonna taste. Probably harder to find now that every corner store has wiped out all beverage inventory in favour of beer. Seriously, it’s just beer and energy drinks now.

  • Just about anything to do with food is because Canadian versions (much like European versions) don’t have as many nasty ingredients. Just look up Canadian vs American Froot Loops as the most visually striking example (food dyes that are ok in USA but illegal in Canada & EU). I’ve heard Oreos taste completely different in The States too.

Just thought of another example… Americans driving south to get Mexican Coke because they were still using sugar cane instead of high fructose corn syrup.

  • I wouldn’t blame that on old age. I work with tards in their 20s and 30s who I’ve personally witnessed use caps lock instead of shift to capitalize one single letter at the beginning of a sentence. They also use the mouse to click in the text box that already has a blinking cursor to enter their username and then use the mouse again to select the password box instead of just using the tab key.

  • Yeah, just ask any Tesla driver who also has Tesla insurance. I’d be screwed HARD as I go to work when it’s still dark out and according to Tesla that makes me a huge risk.

    Backpack recommendations?

I’m looking for recommendations for a backpack that will be used for commuting to work. What I’m looking for would have one large compartment that I could put a shirt and a pair of pants in, a Bluetooth speaker, a large Contigo water bottle and maybe some miscellaneous stuff. I don’t want a hundred pockets and compartments (internal or external). All I seem to be able to find are laptop backpacks or hiking backpacks that are just too “busy” with features that would just get in the way or waste storage space. I really don’t want to have to resort to buying a laptop backpack and then cutting out all the internal compartments with a razor blade. That’s just dumb, and I worry that what’s left after cutting would start to fray and fall apart. Durability and and convenience are top priority but price isn’t a huge issue (within reason).

    TIA.

Update 1: Since there have been several positive comments re. JanSport bags… That’s what I’ve decided to try. I pulled the trigger on [this](https:/
