Can't say I know either. It's definitely tongue-in-cheek and I don't believe ActiBlizzard has managed to make their game fun on purpose for a second. That said, patching out the fun would imply they know what they're doing when I'm unconvinced they're good enough at game to purposely make a game tedious.
I recognise Emily Bloom in the middle. Annoyingly, I can't pick between the other two and I have no idea who either one is.
Marley Brinx
Luckily, I have experience in volunteer work.
I dunno, I think that claim needs to be verified.

Then I'm happy for you and wish you a lovely holiday.
Some of us already kinda do. My hands shed skin at least once a year.

Riiiight. With the conversation all being around the US, I'd assumed your girlfriend was the one in the US. That's very different then and frankly, bollocks to those in the US. So many of them believe the AoC is 18 nationwide so there opinion really doesn't belong in the conversation. If your relationship is legal in Romania and your families are happy, I'd wish you two all the luck in the world.
True but I'd expect fhe writing to be on the wall at least a week ahead of time. If it was some last minute polishing issue, I'd expect a delay of a week, not indefinite. Either management hasn't been paying attention, or someone accidentally nuked a bunch of data when pushing a last-minute update to the main file. I can't think of any other reason for it to have been that close to the wire.

The US is a very big place. I meant specifically since each state has differing laws.

In many instances, such a stipulation is assumed.

No offence, but it doesn't matter what you believe. I'm not going to accuse you of anything some of these people are, just advise you read up on the age of consent where she is and not you. As an American citizen, she's under the jurisdiction of the US. There are many states (the majority actually) where the AoC is lower than 18 just make sure she's in one of them or you could risk being in serious trouble if you ever visited her, even after she's become a legal adult.

Even most states have the AoC lower than 18. ~60 has it at 17 or lower.

That last part isn't necessarily true. It's often seen as a blanket statement that the age of consent in the US is 18 but that's not true for many states. We don't know where OP's girlfriend lives and I'd say it's entirely for the best he doesn’t, but for all we know she lives in one of the ~30 states where the AoC is 16 or the 6 where it's 17.
True but I meant in this specific situation. They've had the decency to delay it which is an oddity and kinda commendable in the way that most other devs/publishers push broken games, but how asleep at the wheel do you have to be to not realise you need an indefinite delay until the day of release?
Rapeseed is a plant that is grown for its oil and is called "rape" for short.
As a native English speaker, I'd assume most people have the same first thought as you and is why they changed it.
True but if you somehow don't notice your game is broken until the day of release, I can't help but wonder how you didn't notice prior.
Magnet Mount Classic Gen 5/5.5
I've just recently got my hands on a Video and put an iFlash Quad in it. I intend to use it as a music source in my car and I normally put my phone on one of those magnetic mounts that you shove in the air vent (like this) so I'd like to do the same with my ipod so it's accessible to replay/skip songs while driving. This in mind, my question is whether it's safe to put the ipod on the magnetic mount without borking the ipod? I know electronics used to be sensitive to this but my knowledge of tech tells me it should be fine now that there isn't a spinning metal disk inside it but I'd prefer to not find out the hard way.
Supernova Absorption for Nulification
As hinted at in the title, assuming the technology/means existed that could absorb energy fast enough, would it be possible to stop a star from going supernova, effectively "calming" it?
This is for a novel (not exactly a sci-fi one) but I'd like to keep in the realms of "technically possible".
Edit. Thank you to everyone for providing answers and specific thanks to @Solemn@lemmy.dbzer0.com @radix@lemmy.world and @Deestan@lemmy.world for the for the further reading/watching materials that have inspired a narrative solution that is kinda hand-wave-y but should be good enough to hold up to scrutiny until the moment someone with a PhD (or good enough knowledge) takes a closer look at a fictional word with a soft magic system and smashes the big ol' BS button which I think is about as much as fantasy novel writer can ask for.
