You don't need to shoot them with a gun. Bow and arrows allows for more skill expression and are renewable alternatives. Not to mention that it is a great workout routine.

How so? Prime and normal versions are basically the same right? Apart from the minor buffs the primes get.

Might be worth looking into the new posture mods. As far as I know though companions don't attack while stealthed unless nearby enemies are alerted, resulting in the companion becoming visible while attacking.

Others might more knowledge on the though.
