"Hey, I had this idea! What if instead of separating church and state, we explicitly united them! And then, like, our king would be the spokesperson of God. It'd be like some sort of divine right or something. We could call this and its legacy something like the Dark Ages. It'd be cool, man; this has never happened before!"
TempleOS is a brilliant project for just one dude, and I feel really bad for the dev. Untreated mental illness sucks ass.
Ooh this makes me mad. It almost feels like if revolution doesn't happen soon people will become so broken they won't have the will to revolt. I remember reading in one of the Dune about methods of preventing revolution including making sure the people have no hope of things ever changing, no hope that they can escape. It really feels like the Torment Nexus meme; they just saw the worst things in fiction and were like, "Let's do that!"
Started watching the old X-Men animated series. They'll probably present it as helping get resources for the parents to learn how to better care for their child, and then come to put them in their slave-labor farms. Or for others openly say what they'll do and the parents'll think it's a great idea. Or like you said, just steal private medical data.

Church Woes
I went to church today for the first time in a few years (I may have attended other Easters, I don't remember) and I was not exactly impressed. I started noticing the hypocrisy more and more. And I know Christians are fond of the whole "Seeing hypocrites at a church is like seeing out-of-shape people at a gym," but it's more like meeting your new personal trainer, and they're really unhealthy, however that looks for them. There's one member who if there's an -ism or -phobia associated with it, he's on the wrong side of it. Yeah, they went and made him a deacon. They all just pick and choose which bits of scripture are literal and which are just metaphorical. Like helping the poor? Well, they mean the poor in spirit, which means I just have to spread Jesus, not actually materially help them. And there's no idea that the concept of capitalism as we know it was not even conceived of during the time of the Biblical stories. Or a good chunk of the church's history. They're worshipping a god
