  • I admittedly have no idea; however, I also have never put my Brother printer on the network directly, I would use a serial USB B cable to connect it to a computer and share it through the computer.

  • Sadly moonflower as a type of morning glory has a lot of distaste amongst the community as an invasive plant, else I would recommend that as one option with making a moon garden. Jasmine flowers are similarly beautiful though being traditionally associated with the full-moon's light, and my bias towards gardenia as it is such a beautiful and potent spiritual plant.

  • I am hoping this year to get my second set of raised beds built as well as a few more planters and even a set of trellises this year. I have improvements to attempt from last year's tomatoes, peppers, onions, and okra, to make it better this year, and will be including as well some corn, beans, and even maybe some lettuce in the later part of the season.

Also going to grow flowers including wildflowers for pollinators, and milkweed. I want to begin working on the yard moreto make it nicer. This will be my third summer and third year that I've had this house, I intend to do more.

  • I remember during the "eternity" in between Gen 3 and 4 sprite-work had started becoming popular as had tilemap-work, with the common words being decolors and recolors, decolors being taking the newer sprites and remaking them for an older style, while the recolors was the opposite direction. I remember on TRSrockin, Lugia's Den, and Mewthree's Domain learning tutorials on this, and even having contests for it.

Fast forward to 2006 and people were making romhacks of Johto in Firered and Ruby, but also trying to make Hoenn in Gold, and some even so far as to try making Johto in Red. It was not perfect, but it was enjoyable. I even got into the fun of it too, having a lot of fun making romhacks. One such I remember distinctly involved a Tyranitar on the main screen, and was based in Gen 2, and was honestly phenomenal to play.

Needless to say, the difference I found in my life between the games officially made, and the fangames was that the fangames were not limited by policies of the company, and were only limited by the technology, and the passion of the creator or sometimes creators. Today we live in a modern world, with such projects as Pokemon Red KEP truly exemplifying that spirit with the limitless power of the decomp projects and community.

  • This would be something I would love to see more places implement. Lights of a different frequency that is less destructive for wildlife, and is properly shielded to mitigate the damage. I should not be able to from 10 miles (16 Kilometers) see a massive lightshow that is the town I live in.

    A blessing jar, fostering community

I spent the day and evening visiting a close friend, and one of the things that we did was that we shared gifts as usual. They had an idea that they had made for me given my lifestyle, being a jar full of little trinkets they've gotten, with them having a sigil and a spell placed upon it specifically for the purpose of strengthening connections. They called it a blessing jar.

The idea of the jar is that I would take items from it, and share with another person to create a connection and foster friendship, and if they want to, they can share with me something they may have, and that is what got me thinking of this idea. A gathering with jars, each with items filled by the person. Maybe satchets of herbs and materials if that is you, or jars with items in them, or such, and freely exchanging in a group setting if can, else, just simply sharing what we have.

    Just an idea I had.

  • I did not know about that chart, I am going to have to download that and keep a copy of it around.

If there is not one, perhaps you could make one? I would love to learn in good detail how to make my own dyes, and work on dying clothing myself!

  • 100%, the world is better at night. I am aware where I live there are more dangers, I have had to push myself to go as fast as I could in the past to get away from some people who were out at night, but the majority of the time I have found that the night-life is the best time to go out.

Is it too late to grow Okra in 6a?

    Hello everyone,

As the title said, I am looking at starting some okra from seeds, but wanted to know if I am too late in the season to start, or if I am good for where I am?

I will be growing the okra in large containers specifically, but I could do raised beds if that would be better.

    Lunarpunk in the Winter

As we are approaching the winter time with the solstice, I find myself wondering what to you is Lunarpunk in the winter time? What is something you add to the aesthetic in your eyes?

Starting a new balance of activities and the difficulties

Hello to everyone. I admittedly am posting this to discuss difficulties that this week has been with me getting myself moving with the new changes to my routine, and the stress it has brought about for me.

I work two full-time careers, one in the daytime from 10 am to 6 pm, the other in the nighttime from 11 pm to 7 am, the days offset to grant me 4 days where I work only one of the two offices and 3 days where I work both. I balance this with a biphasic sleep schedule, which while not the most ideal, has been one that works well for me. I also have other obligations in my life that I maintain, primarily for self-care and self-soothing to grant me reprieve from my stress in life, this is in the form of weekly D&D sessions with two groups of friends as a GM for both groups, a weekly meeting with my coven as a Pagan, a weekly support meeting for others in the local community, working out at the gym and biking, and also my garden which I tend to daily. I admit, my life is busy, and

Site survey done for my house!

About a month ago I had started the work to get solar panels set up at my house. They came by today to do the site survey and I am just happy to know that progress is being made slowly! They won't be able to do roof units, primarily due to what my house is, but there is space for ground units, and I am curious to hear what they suggest they do for it.
