  • This is the right way to do any of those migrations. Insisting on absurd legacy capabilities is one of those things people will say it’s important and want to bill for but adds no value. Just load archive data and start fresh with the workflows that are still pertinent.

  • I have an aversion to folks. It’s too colloquial. If I don’t know you and don’t associate with you don’t lump me in as one of your folks. Folks implies familiarity. Use people. It’s neutral. Just my take, one thing that strongly came out of the mid to late aughts used a lot by Bush and Obama that I really disliked in their communication. My folks are my parents/family. Your folks are your parents/family. “Folks” in general feels slimy like you want to be my family but are just a con man.

  • I completely agree with you. So many phones are business tools. Forcing your employer to use the App Store is good. Side loading fly by night bullshit is a risk and lack of oversight the world just doesn’t need. If you want that stuff get an android.

  • We should just make tipping illegal and pay people a living wage and charge what things cost. This also has the secondary effect of tipping or giving gratuity to elected and appointed officials illegal to. It used to be called a bribe but if you do it shirt the favor it’s a legal gratuity.
