Brother, I got bad news for you. I ran a much less niche community for Monster Hunter on lemmy.world for over a year. Even at the height of activity I was lucky to get 20 interactions on a post. I got tons more interactions on random MH comments in other communities.
Best of luck to you, but I don’t like your chances.

The path to get there would be a pretty big downside. Some of us would say worth it, but that’s a privileged position and likely one we’d regret. Big time rock and a hard place energy.
