  • Really good question, and it's one of several potential problems with Libertarianism.

So, at face value, you're right - you do. But then, you can also form organisations within your community to do the same. So then your whole village or street enforces the NAP.

Besides which, it's not really about other people, it's about you.

I won't hurt you or nick your stuff.

  • I'd say they'll become niche. I don't think it will go away though.

I will always use fountain pens and paper until I die, and I think there are enough people out there who will do the same to keep a much reduced industry going.

  • I use it for desktops and servers. It's rock solid, small (compared to Linux) and performant.

I wouldn't use it if you like to run windows games or software, and sometimes hardware support can be sketchy. I've been lucky.

    Try it out.

  • Actually experiencing racism in Japan.

If you're a white dude in a white country, you don't have any idea what it's like. My incident was super minor (being denied access to a restaurant) but it gave me a teeny peek into what life must be like for some people.

I have thirty fountain pens of varying value...

...but I find myself only using one - my CF nib Pilot Metropolitan.

It's the only stub nib I've found which is fine enough for my handwriting size - yep it burps on occasion when I fill it, but I only want to use this pen.

Anyone else have far more expensive pens sitting around doing nothing while they use a cheap/mid range pen?
