No need for a special rice, I used some unlabeled short grain that has been in the pantry for a long time lol. I'm not saying I never buy glutinous Japonica rice, but it's expensive and I'm turbo cheap.

To season the rice I just used a commercially available seasoned rice vinegar (rice vinegar, sugar, salt, kelp, yeast extract) and I also added mirin. That's a very lazy and easy method but I've also made my own seasoning in a sauce pan to dissolve the sugar. I think the key components are vinegar, salt, sugar and mirin so if you find a recipe like that you're probably good. I learned to make sushi from home when I was a teen from a cookbook - I've been winging it for like 20 years since then, lol.

I've never cooked the rice with the seasoning and I think you would risk burning it because of the sugar. I made my rice in the rice cooker, then drizzled the seasoning on and used a paddle to incorporate.

I hope you try it out! Even if you just eat it in a bowl instead of making rolls it's delicious and quite easy to make at home.

My home office/guest bedroom is my designated space in the home and is therefore very chill vibes. I don't actually work from home (apart from very occasionally!) so it doesn't have to be professional looking. The style inspiration is Selina Kyle's apartment in Batman Returns.

• My partner is more of a minimalist so I've decorated it in a very maximal way, with lots of photos and art on the wall, gallery style. The walls are white but the dominant colours are millennial pink, powder blue, some deep greens, etc.
• I've shoved my desk into the closet, which has shelves that make it cozy. I've outlined the closet door (door removed) with a colour changing LED strip. I've got those obnoxious LED keyboard and mouse lol.
• I've got a cute rug for under my desk and chair and a cute chair that actually isn't super comfy, so I'll probably keep an eye out for another.
• I've got a power bar on this wheely cart that acts as the beside table for the guest bed. I can plug my portable dry herb vape in there to recharge so I always have it ready for long video game sessions. I also have a galaxy projector I keep there that is really nice for chill vibes.
• The guest bed has lots of pillows on it. It's a daybed style that pulls out to 2x twin. It's a great place to become buried in pillows and blankets and a very nice angle to loop up at the plants especially if you are more into psychedelic vibes.
• the lighting is somewhat naturally pinkish because I have lots of plant lights.
• I also have a neon style (LED) pink flamingo I need to mount.

Next step for me will be to replace the shit blinds with maybe a roll down blackout blinds but I need to decide if I want to replace the window first I think. Then a combo of sheer / thick curtains to allow light in with a little privacy and keep the room warmer in the winter.

I'm not in the US, but my city smelled like weed before it was legal and it smells like weed now too lol.

Like frosty said, some places make rules that you can't smoke in public. But even without that, people are generally discrete. I (dry flower) vape in public, generally when out for walks. I imagine it's the same etiquette that is expected of cigarette smokers: don't blow smoke in people's faces, don't smoke in crowded areas like bus shelters (not allowed anyways), don't litter, etc.

Unsolicited fun (?) fact: I have come to learn that weed stains are often named for their parent strains the same way exploited animals are.

E.g. Lemon Haze is Lemon Skunk and Silver Haze. I guess they just keep adding names lol

I'm with you though, I grow my own (from purchased seeds) and just toss the whole harvest together with no regard for the integrity of the unique strains lol
