The Martin - Lost Transmission From Earth (1992 Detroit Techno) (6:02)

"The spirit of the people is greater than man's technology" Cleaver quoting Huey Newton

"We believe that every man, woman, and child on the planet earth has the right to the highest, best, and the most beautiful life that technology, and human knowledge, and wisdom is able to produce. Period" -- Eldridge Cleaver

  • I think it is important to center people who use it; their opinions to me are more relevant in this situation than my own.

  • right wing ideology repackaged into faux concern about the suffering of other people. Could have done a Luigi or Rodney L Hinton but noo, why would you do something that benefits society and maybe improves material conditions or sends a message to the rich elite / their cronies.

  • Its kinda cool that the villain in Sinners is spurring these conversations about forced assimilation / colonization to happen.

    :::spoiler Sinners spoilers

when a person becomes a vampire they are cut off from their ancestors / descendants, so people are saying its unfair and cruel that Remmick never gets to reconnect. I get to explain how that tragedy reflects the reality of assimilation into whiteness / patriarchy, and via fanonian theory -- replicates that violence upon others.

I think people relate to his emptiness, they see themselves reflected. They want him to be reunited, and I hope that desire fuels them to do it themselves.

  • i want to make/try sinigang for the first time, but gotta source some young tamarind, luckily I hear they make sinigang instant soup packets.

  • The whipped instant coffee i drink smells slightly savory, and is making me crave teriyaki sauce over rice

  • Im using these quotes to say yes, broadly liberals (democrats) have had a hand in the fascism of the US; of which has always been fascistic, but as the "left wing of fascism" has put on a smiling face to trick us.

As far as I'm concerned, "liberal" is the most meaningless word in the dictionary. History has shown me that as long as some white middle class people can live high on the hog, take vacations in Europe, send their children to private schools, and reap the benefits of their white skin privileges, then they are "liberals." But when times get hard and money gets tight, they pull of that liberal mask and you're talking to Adolf Hitler. They feel sorry for the so called under privileged just as long as they can maintain their own privileges

Assata Shakur, 1988 from Assata : An Autobiography

There's also that Malcom X quote about liberals being the "smiling foxes."

    A quote about George Jackson's politics :

For Jackson, echoing the prison writings of the Italian theorist Antonio Gramsci (an author whose translated writings were found in Jackson’s cell after his death), fascism referred chiefly to state-led economic development and the incorporation of organized labor.

In other words, for Jackson, fascism involved not only racist repression but also national development and reform. In this sense, the U.S. of the 1960s-70s was fertile fascist soil indeed. Such an expansive understanding of political domination may complicate and enrich antifascist sentiments percolating today around the defense of existing, often hard-won political liberties. Jackson forces us to rethink the distinctions between conservative and liberal administrations and to confront the legacies of even the New Deal and Great Society within a longer history of capitalism and U.S. imperialism.

  • I heard somebody say the vampire in Sinners is a white liberal, and yeah I can see that lol.

  • All this talk of popes is bringing back all the discordianism in me. Now I must put on a fancy hat and parade around in my great self importance. Remember that we are all popes!

  • What if both. Yaouri, yuaoi. A yuri for the yaoi. Yaoi for the yuri. When yuri is yaoi, and yaoi is yuri.

  • Hearing the late Jessica Walter in my head "Do you want ants? Thats how you get ants!" I spilled coffee everywhere last night, basically smacked that cup down. Still cleaning up the splatter!

  • Using (plastic safe) contact cleaner to unsticky my controller buttons 💚

  • hades II -- definitely a game I would have loved to play when I was younger; all the little witchy motifs and things they added resonate with me, it's very amusing. I've only unlocked the staff so far, looking forward to getting the sister blades.

Fields of mistria -- it lets me choose they/he pronouns, not perfect but definitely better than a certain developer who refuses to even acknowledge that aspect of his player base. I think the player sprites are kinda bad looking 😭 but that's fine, I like the elements that make it feel like an old jrpg. The map is a reskinned link to the past type of deal.
