Also, I'm dumb, immediately after posting this I realised my mistake on the title. Work in progress progress. I'm tired! Next thing I will be saying ATM machine.
This is a diorama I'm currently working on of a burning loyalist. The guy setting him on fire is going to be a word bearer. This will be my entry for my LGS's painting contest.
Finally finished with this guy. A fun project but so many books and crannies to get into. I have named him Seneca Pious in honour of someone who helped helped out a lot while I was developing him.
What do you think his lore for turning to chaos should be?

My first ever Black Templar is done! It was a lot of fun to paint. I wanted to do a kind of old, weather beaten look with a leather cowl and stuff as well as some extra little bits an pieces. I didn't have any transfer sheets so I just freehanded a roughed up mark on his pauldron.
Constructive criticism would be awesome! This is my third space marine so far and I think I'm learning a lot each time.!

I have no idea haha. I only started around this time last year and even then, I had so much anxiety about getting it right that I have only managed to paint a handful of models in that time.
I'm just kind of winging it but it seems easier to get to all the little hard to reach areas this way.
It took way longer than it looks like it would because I was glazing most of it and stippling. It looks quite textured up close like this but not from the table which is the main thing.
It was my first time trying an oil wash for the red as well!
Thanks! That is so helpful! I wondered if they may have been Firehawks beforehand. I really like the colours but I'm not a huge fan of the hotrod flames haha!
Good point about what materials to use, I have some jewelry chain that I tied around a Khaos marines arm previously, but zip ties are such a good idea.
I will have to watch that video and figure out what paint stripping is available in Aus.
I started painting Warhammer mid last year and I while I have dabbled in kitbashing before I this is my first one that uses multiple sets as well as Tamiya putty.
I got some lil fellas off FB Marketplace for really cheap so I wanted to do something interesting with them. This was them before:
I have a few questions, and thought you guys and gals might be able to help.
Any general advice for kitbashing?
How do you strip your old paint? It took multiple washes with simple green and scrubbing, which isn't what I have heard is the general amount needed.
What chapter do you think would go well with this guy? I wanted to keep some of the yellow and maybe red from the original pieces.
