  • I actually like this of disjointed art style.

It's probably because one of my favourite games, Evolution of Ages: Settlements, has a similar art style.

I think AI slop tends to be less distinct and more generic.

  • To be honest it doesn't strike me as cozy, even though the the cozy label is at least somewhat subjective.

  • I believe it's a Star Trek instance and a smaller instance that's called lemmy.one or something like that.

  • I can also strongly recommend it. Great gameplay and beautiful graphics.

Setting up vehicle level view for an airplane that goes through routes via your whole map is great fun.

Some late game screenshots from my last (~100 hour) game:

  • Welcome to Lemmy and the tycoon community.

Prison Architect is a great game, but this been over 10 years since I last played so, I unfortunately do not remember the various strategies (I wouldn't be surprised if they changed since then).

Your prison looks pretty organized though.

  • Good to see another instance defederate from ML. Now if only more of the non-tankie communities moved off ML (it's slowly happening).

  • What's are you on about? There is no centralised censorship. Every instance can make their own decision around whether they want to federate with ML.

  • The original SimCity 4 had multiple service building types and this can be further extended with mods.

  • My bad. Typo that changed the whole message of my post. 😆

    it does have ecological impact

  • There is also Transport Fever 2, while it is not a city builder and it doesn't have animal/planet need per se, it does have ecological impact as part of the macro strategy.

  • Thank you!

Now I got to choose between two good variants!

    You're making my life difficult!😆

  • Thank you so much!

Final version is now on [email protected]

EDIT: My sincere apologies, but I think second variant (lower in the thread) is a better fit.

  • “it’s the journey not the destination”

A cliche by this point, but it is so true. :)

  • I would remove collapse. IMO it's not something that is relevant to the social media experience. People who are looking for a collapse style community can find it on their own.

I think regional works fine as is. What I am referring to is probably outside of the scope of the discussion.

Some music communities (it's a broad list but at least the ones I am listing are more or less active):

Gaming (all more or less active):

Some addition to technology (all more or less active):

    There is also [email protected]

  • You're welcome to post your icon variant for an erpg style.

Keep in mind no one said it's going to be uploaded. 😆

  • IMO "Gaming" should be it's own top category. I can help with this one if needed.

"Collapse" should probably be removed as a top level category. It's not relevant for top level.

Not sure how "Regional" would function. Regional implies your local communities, but I am assuming it leads to multiple region specific communities irrespective of where you are.

"Music" might be a simply top level category to add. I can help with this one if needed.

Not sure what communities fall under Technology. I can provide a broader selection of choices if needed.

  • I reached out about this a few months ago. Admin mentioned it's on the TODO list, but I haven't seen any progress.

Not be annoying, but if you start a federated forum, if you are bothered enough to pay for the domain/hosting, you might as well make sure federation actually works.

Just my perspective, I could be wrong.

Help request for CRPG community icon using Lemmy mascot

I mod/curate [email protected] and we have a solid icon:

I tried to replicate the style for [email protected]:

But IMO it didn't work out that well, the styling of the 3 elements (helm, sword, spell book) doesn't align with the Lemmy mascot style. The tycoon icon is "hand-drawn" and the cRPG icon is the best I could find on google images.

It's somewhat fine as people see it at a lower resolution, but my OCD doesn't let me let go.

If someone has time/interest to build out a more coherent version where the 3 elements (helm, sword, spell book) align with the Lemmy mouse flat/comic style, I would appreciate it. If not, that's fine too.

Source PNG images for Lemmy mascot?

    Hi all,

Does anyone have the source png images for the lemmy mascot?

I am trying to replicate the community icon in [email protected]:

    but for [email protected].

I need the main mascot and I can add RPG related stuff on top.

Edit: I just noticed the Tycoon icon was sort of incomplete with part of the money bag's border missing. 😆

    Forgot puzzle game name

    cross-posted from: https://jlai.lu/post/18176557

Hello, I played a puzzle game somewhat 4 years ago, but I don't remember the name. The game is about placing symbols on a grid to get to a specific solution. Each symbols has a functionality, like copying other symbols, or move them, but the functionality is not described, we have to guess what it is. IIRC 40 challenges to solve, and the game is a game playable on online browser. Do you guys know what it this game's name?
