  • That 17th sanction package is really going to finally seal the deal. Just you wait!

Imagine trying the same thing sixteen times, with it backfiring basically every time, and going for the same thing again.

  • The absolute easiest way for me in general is Stremio + a Debrid service (ala Real-Debrid). Not only is it super safe and simple, but the UI of Stremio is way more user friendly than most actual streaming platforms.

Admittedly there is a fee for a debrid service, but it pays for itself in about 45 minutes.

  • We all know that to be truly free, you must be free of the evils of literacy and uh...education. That's why America is so free with their 21% illiteracy rate! That is 21% more freedom!

  • French...kind of. My father speaks French as well as English, so I had exposure to it growing up. I took it in high school as I wanted to improve on that, but eventually dropped it. I can sorta get by conversationally, but I wouldn't be able to work in a French speaking country. I would honestly like to get back to learning it more again someday. I usually speak to my father in French still.

I studied Korean for a couple years, but it has gotten really rusty too. In grad school I spent a while in ROK and DPRK and was pretty good at Korean then. It's actually one of the easiest languages I have studied, but through sheer neglect I have gotten way worse at it. I should probably brush this up too.

Most of my language learning time has been focused on Chinese these days.

  • There is a non-zero chance the account runners aren't actually located there anyway. They are totally aware of what they are doing, appealing to the western warmongers who will highfive and talk about how bad a burn it was to Russia. If you told me that the account was run by a US social media manager or something, I would believe it.

  • I have about the same position on this. A lot (though not all) of these people are insufferable, though we don't have nearly as many in my country as the US does. Being annoying on the internet is, thankfully, not something people get deported for however.

Nor does it mean I wish them death, which is likely what would happen if they were sent back. Their death and a prolonging of a war that is just going to kill even more.

  • I mean my expectations are low because reddit, but is there any /r/CountryName that isn't like this? You usually have to find the alternatively named sub to find people positive on the place, like MovingtoNorthKorea or Sino.

  • On first read, thought they meant "sensitivity for the victims and their families" meant the victims of Mussolini. I could understand cautioning sympathy for them, and that just seeing Mussolini could be triggering for those people.
Then I realized they probably meant that Mussolini and his family were the victims? Which is...a take to be sure. Especially as from what I remember, his remaining family are not a whole lot better.

  • Well NOW Russia is absolutely going to crumble without the lucrative Estonian market. They do have more people than uh...Monaco or Luxembourg?

...wait, they are only just now doing this? So while raging about how evil Russia was for the past twoish years, they were happily buying their stuff still?
