Knowing me, do what I normally do in my free time, but hopefully actually get projects done.
I'd have plenty of time to play games, watch my shows, listen to CDs/music, hopefully finish a project I started on Wattpad or another program, and spend time learning coding to help with my NeoCities site and some other projects I wanna work on but don't know enough to make become a realiety.
I spent a lot of time playing Sonic Mega Collection on gamecube. At least before maybe 6th or 7th grade when I got Borderlands 1 on xbox360.
Definitely either the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog version of Sonic and Tails.
The horrors of having your TV record Gigli!
I wish I had a name like that. Instead I have one of the more common and much more generic names.
Compared to pretty much every other response, this is real bland, but I recently had a librarian at the community college I attend tell me something like how my name is a nice name.
It's not a special name in any way, just a run-of-the-mill Biblical name tons of people have. For obvious reasons, I won't tell what it is, but this is the first time I've ever gotten a compliment about my name.
- I have voted every single time I could since I got registered to vote.
- If I didn't absolutely jumble my words and such due to some form of anxiety when speaking with people over the phone, I probably would call elected officials in my area.
Best I can do outside of voting is going to some of the protests in my area and not posting anything about what happens online for safety reasons.
Yeah, looks like one of those gacha games, so I really don't think OLED Deck or desktop Linux users are missing literally anything whatsoever.
This guy definitely seemed a little extreme, but I can get behind the sentiment.
Exactly what I was thinking.
I personally am riding out the storm before I make any call on this type of stuff. As much as the current president is mucking things up, I'm holding hope.
I was absolutely thinking about this earlier.
"AI artists" are absolutely just salty because good artists have some things they'll never have in a million years: dedication to their talent and skill in a creative pursuit.
I swear they're salty because they can't even draw a straight line with a ruler. They have absolutely zero talent in anything creative whatsoever, that I swear, so they try to make every creative person feel like shit to compensate. Which is why I believe they can't put value to art from a human artist. Why would you if you're too damn salty you can't even come remotely close to doing the same thing, even with AI helping you cheat?
Also, they're so unapposed to theft, so long as they reap the rewards. If AI image generation got banned worldwide somehow, I guarantee they'd be hyper boosting their cry baby sessions everywhere they go online. They'd cry about how it's all entitled artists fault for not letting them get away with breaking the law in dozens of countries worldwide.
Those people are just salty crybabies who would rather wallow in their own piss and shit than pull themselves up by their bootstraps.
Either way, rant aside, nice art.
No idea if it's true, but it's a rumor I've heard that sounds plausible enough. Can't speak for all the cast, but I'm fairly certain the main trio have spoken up against her, though.
I'm way ahead of this because I absolutely HATE the originals because of how often they play them on TV. The transphobic writer of the original wanting to do a do-over most likely because the original cast spoke out against her is also real atrocious as well.
For AI bots, yeah maybe, but that sure as hell ain't gonna work on a real person who is using deepfake tools to fake their appearance for a live video call.
As soon as I saw KMT, I knew immediately what was up.
Absolutely wild stuff, but definitely not unexpected. Scammers gonna scam, just now they have some of the greatest tools to scam people.
Tried getting the gyro on my Steam Deck to work with Dolphin, but no such luck. So I'm back to playing Pokemon Rejuvenation. I think the only other games I have played recently are Plants vs Zombies: Reflourished, Backpack Hero, and Fire Emblem Heroes.
Black Screen of Death
Steam deck (LCD model) will, at no point, turn on unless plugged into charger or hooked up to the dock, regardless of how much battery is left. No response when trying to do things like booting into bios or anything else. Works perfectly fine when plugged in, docked to TV or standalone. No feedback at all, either, from buttons or trackpad haptics either when unplugged.
I've done a bios/firmware reset thing while plugged in and let that go for a while, following the advice of a Steam community forum (not sure whether the blinking power indicator thing is supposed to stop blinking when it's done, but I definitely let it go for longer than the forum post was saying). Went through the process of going through and enabling the main channel OS updates as well through dev settings and updating didn't fix it.
Have taken the backplate off and everything looks fine (I'm not an expert on mechanical things, though) and
Where do y'all recommend looking to find no-disc game patches in general?
Mostly asking because I've never used these before due to never needing to. That, and I have a few old disc based PC games that I'd love to be able to straight up boot without the game disc. These are games I could just pirate, but I figure I already own them in disc, so I'd rather see if there are any reputable places with no-disc patches. The places I've looked in the megathread don't have what I'm looking for.
Closest they have is either a link to the game on another platform in the case of My Abandonware due to it being sold, or a link to just straight up pirate the full thing in the case of Magipack Games. I've also done some digging on the Internet Archive but have yet to yield results (probably because I suck at finding things there). Still gonna keep looking there, but any helpful info would be much appreciated.
I don't think I can share the game names, even in DM, due to the rules here, so site mainpages are my best shot.
Somewhere Out There (Linda Ronstadt and James Ingram)
How does ripping a CD/DVD work exactly? Is it similar to copying or does it leave the CD/DVD unusable?
I've never ripped CDs or DVDs before for any reason and am curious how this works since I have some stuff I wanna see about backing up but am nervous about ruining the disc. I've tried looking this up, but every time I do, I obviously am searching for the wrong thing because I have never found the info I'm looking for.
Bluetooth Help (MX Linux Plasma, kernel 6.1.0-13)
Linux noob. Just got a pair of Skull Candy Push Active XT bluetooth earbuds. They pair just fine with my setup but no sound comes through them. I found many different posts on various forums and nothing helped.
Using the inxi command I pulled some info I think might help, if it's needed. (I don't know if any of this is needed to help fix this issue. I've only been using MX for a little over a week and have never really done a lot of under the hood Linux maintenance before, but am more than willing to learn to fix this issue). If there is sny other information needed, I'm willing to edit this with any of that information, if I can find it.

Furries of Lemmy, what made you decide on the species for your main fursona? Why did you choose that specific species?
How would I go about bypassing securom to allow for installation of a game?
Got a copy of Borderlands (EU iso) from the r/ROMS megathread and found out there is securom verification (which I have absolutely no experience with) as part of the installation process.
Closest I have found to a solution to bypass so far after some brief searching was one "Generic Securom 7/8 by Virusek" off of the "LOSTFILESARCHIVE" github page, which leads to a 404 page (even on the wayback machine).
Are there any programs or patches you would recommend to bypass this god awful drm?
