If your customers are asking for a child to do the most horrible things, why would you not offer murder, gore, torture and even cannibalism? There clearly is no moral compass at all; if the customer pays, it can be done.
I was sent to another country overseas for (initially) one month (they made it two in the end, deciding for it a day before I was coming back). They noticed me about it one week before the depart.
While I was abroad, working my ass 14 hours a day, 6-7 days a week, I was contacted by a headhunter. I explained them the situation and they understood it. They planned an interview for the first day after my (supposed) return.
When my employer decided to keep me there for another month, I had to contact the headhunter, explain it and they rescheduled without issues.
I came back and, as pissed as I was, went to the interview and nailed it. Few days (and interviews later), I had a new job. By then, my current job knew nothing (yet), I was about to give my notice when something happened:
Right before lunch, my then manager, calls everyone and starts a speech saying there's "some people" who are lately lacking will and enthusiasm because, and I quote, "they clock in at exactly 8 am and clock out at 5pm without caring if there's other people still working". That was directed at me because I was pissed and started to simply follow my shift to the second. He continued rambling about how there's people who don't deserve to work there and other indirect attacks that clearly had my name on them.
I was going to give my two weeks notice that day, personally, to my boss, but the "meeting" got me so pissed that I decided to be pety about it:

The boss found about it the same day he called me to offer me a raise. It goes without saying but he wasn't happy about the notice. He sent me home and told me to never come back. I took my stuff, went home and enjoyed my free days until I started on my current job.
Even that is gonna become a problem to find in a few months. I'm fucked because my computer is due for an upgrade (built futureproof, which allowed me to go for almost 10 years without upgrades) but now it's showing signs of aging. I'm probably getting a steam machine in the first batch even if it costs a thousand because I am certain that thousand will turn into two or even three in the next year (if it's even possible to find)
So... I got summoned to another world with a single power: access to an online grocery store with instant delivery. I'm good at cooking but since my ability doesn't involve fighting, I got expelled from the "hero party". Now a mythical fenrir has made a familiar contract with me and protects me as long as I cook him delicious meals.
This is less unpopular and more uninformed opinion.
OP clearly knows nothing about making games and only wants every dev to cater to their likings without even considering that pixel art can be a forced choice to keep costs and dev times bearable to small or one-man teams (stardew valley). It can also be an aesthethical choice because it goes well with the game's concept (sea of stars) or even a way to keep the game cheap (vampire survivors).
Also, saying the pixel art is lazy shows OP has probably never seen a detailed pixel art game. See Chained Echoes or the aforementioned Sea of Stars as examples.
Just because a game doesn't have shiny 3d graphics doesn't mean it's bad or lazy.
It's not the anonimity that makes people fuckwads. It's the lack of immediate consequences. A fuckwad won't get a punch in the face for what they say on facebook, hence they feel they can say anything and be a fuckwad.
