Hey everyone, I just wanted to share our latest episode breaking down some concerning developments around the current disclosure campaign, specifically how major aspects of the movement have likely been socially engineered by the neo-reactionary Dark Enlightenment contingent of tech leaders in Silicon Valley.

Hi All!
This month marks the 1st birthday of Lemmy.zip. Originally intended as a side project, I think I've ended up spending more time on this site than my actual job.
June 10th is the official anniversary, and so we'll be doing a small giveaway on this day to celebrate.
In the meantime, lets have a look at how things went in May.
This month, I want to focus on the existing abandoned communities we have that have the potential to really grow.
If you fancy becoming a mod of one of these communities, please let me know.

Apple and Google face block on taking cut from in-app purchases in Australia

Apple and Google could soon face new rules that allow app developers to charge for in-app purchases without paying a cut to the app store, the head of Australia's competition watchdog has said.
"If our country doesn't take the step to empower this so that this obligation is there, it won't be offered," the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) chair, Gina Cass-Gottlieb, said.
The changes are likely to form part of the government's response to the ACCC's consultation in December last year on a mandatory code of conduct for designated digital platforms such as Google and Apple.
