Red Chair Lavender has tapped Old State Saloon to be their main title sponsor for their harvest fest this summer. They just announced ICCU as a sponsor as well, much to my chagrin. I called ICCU to let them know, and asked me to fill out the form on their website:
What I wrote to them:
I just found out that ICCU is sponsoring Red Chair Lavender's Harvest Fest. Old State Saloon is the main title sponsor for the festival. OId State Saloon is known for their anti-LGTBQ, anti-semitic, anti-vax and hateful rhetoric.
Here is a link to their "salooncast" podcast:

Just want to remind everyone that if you are getting a AC Maintenance (which I highly recommend or at least do it yourself) that several companies have been bought out by private equity and are no longer local even though they advertise as local.

To the male and female that camp outside the Franklin Fred Meyer, waiting for the doors to open so you can scalp the Pokemon vending machine… I’m not allowing that anymore. I’m going in before the doors open and using my privilege as an employee to make sure there’s nothing good left. If I catch any other scalpers out in the wild I’m taking items out of your cart/hands and paying for it then walking out. People like you make me sick, looking for an easy cash grab at the expense of children. I know this is really off topic, scalpers just really upset me.

Please join us for the second gathering of the Fed Up Club on Thursday, April 24 from 5-8pm at Brown Beard Brewing Barrelhouse at 5270 W Chinden Blvd in Garden City. PLEASE NOTE: don’t go to the other Brown Beard location further West near Maple Grove. We are meeting at the former Barbarian location near Expo Idaho. If you’re at the complex with the DMV, you’re in the wrong place.
This is a gathering for federal employees to connect with local feds, vent, share your experiences, and discuss how we can support each other during this stressful time. Please grab a drink with us and meet some like-minded local feds. There will be a food truck! Please spread the word to

I just lost my job and have been hitting up the food banks around downtown (I can't drive very far at the moment) to supplement as I'm looking for more work. I'm very grateful to have access to these places, but I can't eat a lot of the stuff they give out due to a genetic disorder I have. No gluten or processed foods unfortunately.
Is there any where that hands out produce, fruit, or meat? Or any community places that help out with situations like this? I'm waiting to hear back from unemployment currently and just need some stuff to sustain me in the mean time.
Thank you.

I (F36) was just hiking at camelsbak and we crossed paths on the Owl’s Roost trail not too far from the 8th street parking lot at around 6pm tonight 4/21/25.
You said you loved my mushroom hat and to have a nice day. You had the coolest/happiest vibe about you and immediately after walking by I thought “I want to be her friend!”
You had dark hair, female in her 20s/30s & you were walking with your dog. If you remember this interaction & would like to connect and be hiking buddies, send me a message and tell me what color your dog is & what kind of facial piercing you have so I know it was you!

Had to cancel my pickup order this morning while waiting for it in the parking lot. A stream of employees all left Walmart to head over to Lowe's, and one of my fellow pickup order customers said they had to evacuate for some reason. Does anyone know what happened? Or why they didn't bother telling the people waiting for pickup orders?
