Prominent in the Japanese shoegaze scene, Cruyff In The Bedroom make a racket on this track. Of the tracks of theirs I have heard, their sound ranges freely around the pages of the NME circa 1990-1995.

Exisiting on the twee pop branch of the "alternative" family tree, Allo Darlin' was a London band fronted by a displaced Queenslander. They have a bunch of lovely, sweet songs across three full length albums and a number of singles and EPs.

Posted this one, as I thought people here would enjoy the invocation of Weezer and the mini-cover of El Scorcho contained within. Also, thought it a suitably jaunty song to start a Monday morning with. I probably enjoy some of their other track a bit more, however.

A banging 2 piece from Brighton, UK who are named in homage to Ginger Rogers’ dance shoes, bloodied from rehearsing for a movie. This is a perfect tune to get psyched to IMO.

So, I really love Metric and I know others here also do. Searching for some #content, I found this performance of Black Sheep from last year.

This got me thinking about the Metric with Brie Larson version of this song in Scott Pilgrim vs the World. I didn't know the story behind it but I found a video where Emily Haines explains how it got in the movie. (tl;dw The song"didn't fit" on their album Fantasies which might be why I couldn't find a video for it, only live versions)

It also made me think about people videoing at shows. If I was at this gig and I was near the person shooting, it would make me want to grab the camera and fire it into the sun. However, even though I have been lucky enough go to 2 or 3 Metric gigs, it's been a long time. So on the other hand, I sure do appreciate that this video exists.
