Charles is 52 years old and has been a specialist firefighter for over 30 years. For 16 years, he collaborated with the NGO Firefighters Without Borders (BUSF). With them, he has participated in numerous international humanitarian aid missions in countries such as Congo, Nicaragua, Guatemala, and Bolivia, among others. Each mission has been a vital learning experience and an opportunity to help in extreme situations.
Charles remains firmly committed to the Palestinian cause and the defence of human rights.
He has participated in numerous actions in support of and denouncing social injustice, one of the last before embarking on his journey being the stopping of the Tour of Spain cycling race.
