Learning the guitar part for My Name Is Mud by Primus, where does this sound even come from?

I’ve been trying to learn the guitar for My Name Is Mud and was watching this isolated guitar track on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CRKtjo51Fa0 .What blows me away is how alien it feels. Most bands you can trace back to something, but this just seems to exist in its own bubble with no clear inspirations.
