Hey! Sorry for my lack of interest in the instance. I've been more and more enveloped in helping to moderate lemmy.world. This has taken up some time now. I will still hold this instance open, but don't expect me to do much. I will still hold it up to date and moderate it if needed. Thanks for understanding. Currently this instance has some problems with uploading images. As most community subscribers are from federated instances; this will not be a problem. Sadly, most of the communities here wont have a banner or icon for the time. I hope this will be fixed soon-sh...

The server is now located in Amsterdam! This means lower latency! Let's hope this will be better!

The server move will happen at around 23:00. This means that the server will be down for a good 30 minutes. If the move goes successfully, then expect faster loading time and contact with the server. If it does not work, then nothing will change, the server will run smoothly again. Let's hope that it will work :) A new update post will be posted after the move. Cya until then!

Snkkis.me has now updated to BE: 0.18.0 👏 👏 👏. This brings a bunch of security and stability to the instance.

Now to the other info: this instance will be shut down later today, as we try to switch server region. Currently, the server is hosted in the US, which is making it slow for Europeans, and that is kinda stupid when it's meant for nordic people... I hope this works. I will make a new post when we turn off the server and another one when the server gets back online to say if it was successful or not.

External instances/communities are found like this "!{community name}@{instance name}". For example: "[email protected]", this refers to the community "nostupidquestions" in the instance "lemmy.world". To actually subscribe to the external community, you will first have to search for it. You can do this at snkkis.me/search. If the community does not show up in the search menu after pressing the search button, go to the communities tab at snkkis.me/communities. Press the all button or just press here. It should now pop up! If not, try to search for the community again, and there it should be. Still facing problems? Contact me through private messages.
