Small project for a friend's wedding
Going to a wedding with two weeks notice with a cat theme. I had some fabric with cats on it, so I decided to make a bow tie instead of buying something new. Just used a tie I already had as the pattern. It has been so long since I've done any sewing, so 4 small pieces all the same size was perfect for where I'm at. Had a few mistakes but they're all in the back, so I'm pretty satisfied.

This is a cross-post, I thought it was neat :)
My second attempt at sashiko from a little while ago :)
And a replacement button with a similar color scheme :)
At some point I also wanna get some mini patches to go where there's currently the little embroidered polo player. The theme is lavender lemonade, so a little lavender and a little lemon would be cute :)
Metallic thread jammimg
I have trouble with a metallic thread. Superior Threads japanese brand wt40. Upper thread already set to no 1 tightness. Machine is Singer Legacy Any suggestion appreciated.
Deer and Doe Plantain Tee - one of my favourite free patterns
I've made this so many times and it never disappoints. Tshirts are also great for beginner sewers or people who haven't sewn with knit before.
First time sewing footwear!
Pattern: Twig + Tale Adult Wayfarer Shoes
Fabric: leftover bamboo terry cloth lining and upcycled denim outer
I added some sock stop dots on the bottom to make them less slippery. They're definitely too warm for summer though, I will probably end up making a linen or cotton pair to wear in warmer weather. I'm also going to experiment with thick/rigid interfacing for the soles so they're not as floppy.
