Last year, the Solo-venian Pogatchar (🇸🇮 UAE) won (far) ahead of Bardet (🇫🇷 DSM→Picnic), himself alone before a small bunch won by Van der Poel (🇳🇱 Alpecin).

The preceding years, there were 2 victories by Evenepoel (🇧🇪 Soudal-QS) and already one by Pogatchar. And both of them will compete this year....

Bardet🇫�* will run after a come-back on the Tour

6 days including 1 prologue and 1 time-trial. Medium- and a bit of high-altitude mountain, together with those time-trials, show how this race is designed to be a preparation for the Giro d'Italia which starts a few days later.

The favourite is probably Almeida (🇵🇹 UAE), but Evenepoel (🇧🇪 Soudal-QS) should be starting the race if he managed to poo and is done with sulking.

On the French side, this should be the return of Gaudu (🇫🇷 FDJ) who hasn't raced since his falls on Strade Bianche and Tirreno–Adriatico in early March. Martinez (🇫🇷 Bahreïn), who didn't take part to Liège, should be there too.

For this Volta I predict a fight between Roglic and Ayuso.

I expect good performances from Landa, O'Connor, Gall and Carapaz.

I want to see how does Bernal returns, he was very strong in Jaen.
