It's a rough employment market and I thought this post might provide some comfort to a few people. I spent 5 months looking for a job and started up about 6 months ago. I have a master's degree and some prior experience.

NCEA exams are slowly moving to be more online, and yet I’ve observed among my peers and younger siblings that a LOT of students can’t type properly - I’m talking using-two-index-fingers kind of bad. And no, people don’t learn on their own. They develop poor technique that they keep forever.

We’re really doing NZ school kids a disservice by not giving them the skills to match the tools we expect them to use.

I've bought a new build and the builder was meant to fix some things under warranty before purchasing. I am a woman who lives alone and him and his men have been harassing me and claiming there's no problems. Problems include

• aggression when confronted for repairs
• sent his men over all hours of the day and night to visit me to do repairs without notification. One abused the fact I hadn't changed the door code (there was a manufacturers fault) and just walked in when I wasnt home and borrowed my ladder)
• his men turned up to my door one night to have a go at me for reporting them
• I live alone and raised concerns about my safety and asked

I was made redundant last week! I’m an IT professional with over 20 years of experience - Delivery/Project lead in the recent years, but have been a developer (.NET, C#) earlier.

Got a bag earlier in the week, and just opened them hoping not to break my teeth.

Total of 27, 14 of which were coconut!
