uSentry is a lightweight, self-hosted Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Single Sign-On (SSO) solution designed for homelab and small-scale environments.
⚡ A single PHP file. < 400 lines of code. No database. No background processes. No cloud. Just works. ⚡
Most IAM and SSO solutions require databases, certificates and background services baked into a dozen containers. This is all fine but also also overkill for homelabs and impossible for low-power ARM devices. uSentry is different, it isn't pretty but it sucks less for a lot of use cases.
Enjoy!

Home Server @lemmy.ml terminhell @lemmy.dbzer0.com This is fine...
Trying to create an image of my servers OS drive. After 24+ hrs it was still going, and at smaller and smaller speeds.
Luckily the real data is on another healthy drive. Just sucks to lose configs and such. It was a setup that started off as a learning experiment that ended up in 'production' at the house.

Home Server @lemmy.ml Gordon_F @lemmy.ml Private videoconferencing ?
cross-posted from: https://lemmy.ml/post/22893407
Hi,
I'm looking for a E2EE and decentralized (or self hosted) videoconferencing that would have the following feature
- video or voice-only call
- share screen
- files transfer (optional)
- text chat
( all of it E2EE )
I'm considering Jitsi meet, that seem the meet those requirements
Do you know better alternatives or do you have remarks about Jitsi ?
Thanks.

Home Server @lemmy.ml Rudee @lemmy.ml Remote functionality on Navidrome
I have Navidrome set up on my home server running TrueNAS, and I've set up a few playlists there via the web interface. However, I've noticed that the android apps with OpenSubsonic support do not allow me to create playlists on them. Are there any apps with this feature (as well as local download support), or is this not supported over OpenSubsonic?

Home Server @lemmy.ml PropaGandalf @lemmy.world Rack enclosure buying advice
Hello fellow Homelabbers,
I am in the process of setting up my first homelab and taking my first steps in self-hosting. I got an old pc as a gift from a friend and I want to convert it together with my old pc into 2 2U servers.
But first of all I need an enclosure where these servers and the rest of my equipment can go in. Since this homelab will be located in my flat for the time being, I don't have a particularly large amount of space for it. I think a size of 15 to 22U would be perfect, also in terms of long-term upgrades.
I have looked around on my local online marketplaces but I am not sure what I should really focus. Since this purchase will literally be the foundation of my future upgrades, I don't want to rush into anything and would like to ask you homelab veterans for some advice.
Thanks in advance.

Home Server @lemmy.ml Conor @discuss.tchncs.de Content request
As this is a new community hoping to continue the old. I thought I would take the opportunity to make some requests.
I have an intel NUC as a server with
- sonarr
- radarr
- prowlarr
- transmission with vpn
- jellyfin
- daap
- home assistant
- organizr
Wish list
- some kind of dns resolution so I can access jellyfin.server.local
- vpn to access server remotely with dynamic dns
- some help with ansible so I can stop using my docker compose file manually.
I have done some reading and in all honesty just haven’t had the drive to try for fear of breaking something that’s working ok.
