on top of the normal instance rules:
please make sure you add a NSFW marking for anything gorey (though Gorey is still fine :) )
please make sure links to material dealing with e.g. self-harm have appropriate content warnings
please be nice to each other. if you think something's stupid/bad, just downvote it and move on. if you think something doesn't belong in this community, messaage it to the community mods who will do any gatekeeping necessary. this means you should not be showing up in the comments to tell someone their post is not real goth.

The Wave-Gotik-Treffen (WGT; German for "Wave Gothic Meeting") is an annual world festival for "dark" music and "dark culture" in Leipzig, Germany. 150+ bands and artists from various backgrounds (gothic rock, EBM, industrial, noise, darkwave, neo-folk, neo-classical and medieval music being examples) play at several venues throughout the city over four days on Whitsuntide. In fact, I didn't even know it was VNV Nation for about a year: it was mistagged as an unreleased/bootleg Nine Inch Nails track when I downloaded it. I have no idea how I managed to convince myself this could have been NIN: I'll blame the naΓ―vete of youth.
