There's a lot of talk of social media alternatives to move away from US social media that potentially has a lot of bot traffic (either for quality or foreign interference in politics).

Wouldn't it be pretty easy to spin up a Lemmy instance that requires PEC verification to accomplish this without any huge investment, as a proof-of-concept at least?

Hi, me and my family are looking to move to Italy as we have ancestry that could probably get us citizenship, and we are trying to get out of America due to probably obvious reasons. I need help answering these questions:

• 1. Are there any colleges that have education degrees that are taught in english? I am currently pursuing a degree in Secondary Education to become a high school history teacher at my local college and need to find a college (ideally in Italy) where I could transfer to.
• 2. Are there any entry level jobs that are good for english speakers?
• 3. What are the most trans friendly cities in Italy?
• 4. Best ways to learn Italian? Especially anyone willing to help me learn.
• 5. Any advice in general anyone can provide for someone trying to move to Italy.

We will be staying in Cortina d'Ampezzo this week for our honeymoon. We were planning on doing a lot of outdoor activities, hikes, via ferrata etc. So far the weather predictions are not great. I know they are not very reliable in the mountains, but just in case we would like to have some backup plans. Any suggestions?

L'ottobre del 2023 ho acquistato uno steam deck, però negli ultimo giorni ho notato un punto sullo schermo dove i pixel non si accendono più; già un mese dopo l'acquisto avevo notato che il feedback aptico sinistro praticamente non si sentiva, ma poichè non volevo passare per tutta la trafila di rimandarlo indietro staccai il feedback.

Ora però non ho una scelta, però vorrei conoscere l'esperienza di altri che l'hanno rimandato indietro, poichè ho visto che in europa molti hanno avuto problemi con il reso, con i deck che rimanevano bloccati alla wharehouse senza ulteriori informazioni sullo stato del reso.

Ormai è passato il tempo in cui Lemmy aveva più applicazioni che post, i due grandi nomi che si danno battaglia (bonariamente) sono Boost - appena uscita, e Sync. Chiedo per curiosità ma non da ultimo anche perché non so scegliere io stessa. Quale delle due app state usando? Quale vi piace di più (anche e non solo graficamente)?

Ps. Non facciamo post ridondanti sul prezzo di Sync, che comunque ancora non sta mostrando alcun ad.

Is the pizza tonda romana the pizza that's most commonly eaten outside of Napels, or does every region have it's own style?
