LAPD YouTube channel suspended for posting violent content

YouTube has suspended the Los Angeles Police Department’s channel after a video showing a brutal attack was taken down.

LAPD originally said that their account had been “temporarily suspended after [posting] a video of a brutal attack” in the department’s Pacific Division shortly before 11:45 a.m. Saturday morning.

“We have appealed the suspension and have been denied,” LAPD said in their post to X, formerly Twitter.

According to the department, they had been asking the public’s help in identifying the suspects.

The “brutal attack” in question was a Sept. 28 incident in which a male victim encountered two other men walking with bicycles near the intersection of Speedway and Market Street when one of the two men with bicycles swung a pair of bolt cutters at the victim, repeatedly punched and kicked him then calmly walked away before confronting the victim again and knocking him unconscious with the bolt cutters.

Man who groped sleeping woman on plane to Los Angeles gets nearly 2 years in prison

A Diamond Bar man who was found guilty of groping a sleeping woman on a plane from Cleveland to Los Angeles in 2020 was sentenced to nearly two years in federal prison, officials said Thursday.

Back in May, a jury found Mohammad Jawad Ansari, 50, guilty of one count of abusive sexual contact, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

Aside from the 21 month sentence, he was also ordered to pay a $33,750 fine, $1,600 in restitution, a $100 special assessment and an additional $5,000 special assessment, officials said.

The charge stems from a Feb. 21, 2020 incident when Ansari was on a flight from Clevland to LAX. He intentionally touched the inner thigh of a woman sleeping in the seat next to him, officials said.

“At some point during the flight to Los Angeles, Ansari placed his left hand on the victim’s right knee and, without the victim’s consent, moved his hand to her inner thigh,” officials detailed. “The person sitting in the aisle seat next to the victim witnessed Ansari’s

The Hollywood Walk of Fame is the world's worst-rated tourist attraction, according to new study

Stasher ranked 99 global tourist attractions based on Google reviews, quality of local accommodations, distance from the closest international airport, tourist safety, and TikTok popularity.

Topping the list was the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which also ranked first in 2019 in Stasher's first tourist attractions study.

This year, the tourist hotspot on Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street scored 3.42/10. The attraction received the lowest Google Reviews score (4/5). America's poor global peace index (3.85) also dragged the popular tourist hub through the mud.

According to Google reviews, people described the Walk of Fame as "grubby and slightly scary," "dirty," and "unsafe."
