  • I think the problem, if I can convey it properly, is a lack of action is neutral; and it isnt a bombshell. The fact we are giving them drugs which are then being sold off makes us look stupid and that is a bombshell, which immediately conveys incompetence, and that dictates peoples narratives.

  • Iranians also probably care about protestors being gunned down. Its not exactly black and white.

  • Even if less people die most communities dont want people shooting up next to them, or providing them free drugs which are being sold off to buy street candy. As to which path is better it doesnt really matter, voters are who controls things in the end.

I'm a great Eby fan, so dont get me wrong.

  • All three parties of guilty of misinformation these days. NDP solely blaming grocery stores for inflation after a massive money printing event that saw everything from housing to gold prices rise astronomically which they helped create, Liberals who are pretending they want affordable housing while hiring Gregor Robinson as housing minister who outright says housing prices shouldnt fall.

The whole thing is a charade, politicians target low information voters, perhaps because most Canadians are low information voters.

  • Where do you figure the 32b of federal spending went?

  • Pedagogy of the Oppressed

What will 2026 look like 30 years in the future when we gave away billions of dollars and their situation got worse? It will be looked at the same as we look at the war on drugs or aid to Yemen, something that sounded nice but was horribly mismanaged and ineffective.

I'm simply stating there needs to be accountability, which my second link says we shirked that accountability on purpose. Left leaning people that want actual reconciliation should be the most pissed off, as the backlash will breed cynicism.

  • What about robots in space though, and the hallucination of a universal high income so everyone is a millionaire.

  • Saying there is two genders isnt free speech, they have to conform their beliefs you mean, and be forced to believe there is a gender like Ze and Zer?

It just seems a bit shariah to me, and I hope Im not fined for saying so.

  • Pcloud has lifetime deals with encryption.

I've had it for a very long time and paid once long ago. It works on Linux as well.

  • Well he did defeat medicare.

  • Found the person reddit banned.

  • Well its still not really sustainable is it, it has no yield.

    Keynes would disapprove.

  • Oh cool. I may have to check it out.

  • Borrowing huge sums of money to fund military expenditures sure seems silly, and the interest payments will be absurd. Interest on debt has already eclipsed health transfers, so its going to be a sacrifice for sure.

  • The movie Daredevil had a guy with a bullseye on his head who could kill people by flinging paper clips at them, penetrating their skull. Nothings cooler than that.

  • Whats that from?

  • Well you see peak oil is a myth by pseudo intellectuals trying to push a narrative. Global energy demand will continue upwards for the foreseeable future, because greater energy per person means a higher standard of living.

Renewables are also fully dependent on China, who refines the bulk of metal on the planet, since they have no environmental regulation; and its a very energy intensive process where they can undercut others by generating over 60% of their energy from coal.

Its also intermittent so requires batteries and backup energy sources, unless its something like nuclear or hydro, which is either messy or geographically limited. Somehow France could do nuclear in the 60s but we cant do it now, as many climate zealots try to convince us nuclear isnt green, so government bureaucracy inflates costs.
