  • In an alternate universe - Fox warned by FTC over alleged lack of liberal news

  • Did they tho? I bet the cost went to the employees somehow, like lower wages or layoffs or less benefits. Those companies probably reported increased revenue too.

  • Interesting theory, except that if you can fart on command then you probably won't have to worry about accidentally farting.

  • I'm confused. Do you mean that you've never accidentally farted or are you saying that we should all try to intentionally intensify our farts and own it?

  • So applicants are being sorted by browser? How does that indicate adaptability? So if they use Netscape are they too old or too stubborn or too niche for the job? I use Chrome at work and another browser at home, does that mean I get moved to the top of the application list?

I would think some more interesting data points would be what OS were they on or how quickly and accurately they filled out the application or if their resume rambles on with no substance or if they haphazardly used buzz words or look for signs that they didn't create their own resume.

That's ridiculous and doesn't suggest anything other than that's their preferred browser. That's just data to be collected for statistics and shouldn't even be relevant. I'm interviewing the person, not their data, their data could influence if they get an interview if there's actually something interesting in the data, but the browser just seems very odd thing to focus on.

It's worse than you think, AI did the screening interview. I would have run from this company, if they're willing to use AI to conduct an interview then they are going to treat you like crap if they hire you. They basically just let you know that you weren't even worth interacting with by a human. Screw that place.

  • Should I risk it?

  • I'm 99% sure that antivaxers are people that started out just using it as an excuse to not get a shot then it snow balls into conspiracy theories

  • 120sec anti skip

  • Well.....I think you just have poor taste in men

    It’s a cycle.

  • Cycle? This isn't even 10 years ago, this is the same generation. I think you just proved that it's a spiral downward

  • I get conflicting articles when I search it, so I'm not 100% sure.

  • I have an old server/work station and dropped a old rx580 into it and put Linux on it then hooked it up to the TV. I use it to run older games on it no problem, think PS3/PS4 era games and Steamlink newer AAA games from my home tower when I notice it struggling or if it's a windows only game. Works well enough, it also doubles as a web browser and media center PC. It also replaced my blueray/DVD player when I added a combo drive to the server.

I put Mint on it and I was considering putting Bazzit but I didn't know if I should go through the trouble since Mint seems to be working fine.

I was also thinking about setting it up to double as a media server but I don't want to pirate anything. But I wish I could legally put my DVD collection on it for convenience, I have plenty of old HDDs laying around for storage.

  • Knowing Trump he will try to file bankruptcy

  • Pretty sure I could out smart Trump, he's not known for his intelligence

  • Are those rhetorical questions?

Not that I'm aware of and duh

  • Apparently Trump watched Bad Bunny instead of Kid Rock

  • So your argument is that you can't have a utopia if you can inherit your parents belongings?

I would also argue that the accumulation of goods and hoarding resources would not be tolerated. So if you're rich before the fall you're probably not now. But my assumption is that if you can justify owning lots of land by something other than greed then you probably won't keep/get it.

Yes land would be a finite resource and would be closely regulated.

Star Trek is a dream that will never come true because it assumes that all humans would be rational and reasonable. That's just inconceivable.

  • Do people fantasize about that? I would think that the writers and show runners should get the flak for DISC, that was a terrible redemption story, "The only why to stop this war, is more war", like wtf were they thinking?

List of captain's major misdeeds from the top of my head-

Sisko was accomplice to murder and many war crimes by his crew. Didn't go to jail and actually became a god.

Can't think of any serious crimes Picard committed and got away with. There were a couple times he disobeyed orders but it was usually to save or protect someone or something, and that was few and far between.

Janeway broke the prime directive every Tuesday, except when she was stopping someone else from breaking it. But that's kind of excusable since her ship and crew were stranded in another quadrant of the Galaxy.

Kirk broke the temporal prime directive and the regular prime directive, routinely disobeyed orders, stole the enterprise, and wasn't afraid to step into some morally gray areas. He got positive results, so he got demoted and promoted and demoted and got promoted to desk duty. Probably should have spent time in a federation vacation colony.

Pike hasn't really stepped out of line except when he help DISC escape the rogue AI thing and breaking the temporal prime directive.

Archer was stubbling into trouble by mistake and there weren't really any rules for him to break but I can't think of any major crimes.

Freeman wasn't really onscreen much but she doesn't seem to be the start a mutiny, shoot first and start an galaxy wide war type.

Worf would never dishonor federation or his family.

Riker wasn't on screen much but he does seem like he would get into some trouble, although when he was #1 he doesn't seem like the mutiny and start wars type either.
