Digit is Digit. I love her. I knew her online from wallstreetbets and she disappeared while going through some shit. I keep needing proof she's safe.

To anyone I've ever treated unfairly, I apologize.

  • I wish you were right.

I can't think of a way to repurpose the meme with a more fitting format, but if you could, I believe you'd get similar responses. I think it's basically just Democrats hating being called out for violating my rights because they support gun control and, on the other hand, they prefer blaming Republicans for blocking me from accessing vaccines.

Not about the meme's format, but the message itself, sadly.

  • I'll copy and paste so you can try again, maybe it just takes you a few tries to read things correctly:

I understand political memes are prohibited here, but my last meme was borderline political and people liked it. This one is more directly political, but every community I’ve posted it in so far has hated it, so I’m trying here.

  • Alternatively, we can let the experts who spend their lives understanding vaccines dictate which vaccines people can and should have, because they know the most.

Yeah, but clearly if it were that easy, we'd already be doing it. The fact that we have fake experts making decisions shows that society doesn't find it very easy to select the people who know the most.

So, if you can't select the people who know the most, maybe just stop blocking access to vaccines. If you can't find anyone as smart as me you're comfy with deciding which vaccines to allow, why are you comfy with letting me be blocked from vaccines by people dumber than me?

And nobody should have guns, because its a fucking stupid idea to let the average monkey have a weapon that can instantly kill someone in the heat of an argument.

Then go back in time and un-invent guns, but while I'm waiting for you to do that, I have an interest in trying to ensure my loved ones and I don't get shot defenselessly.

  • Good riddance

  • But I didn't, you're just being anti-intellectual.

And in cases where that's relevant, functional adults can still resist urges like that to actually debate things or simply walk away.

  • Why reply in the first place if you're so afraid of debate that you're not willing to explain your position because, by allowing me to refute it, that could be considered a debate?

Rhetorical question - obviously you came here in bad faith, to waste my time and annoy me.

  • I still don't get what you're saying.

I should be OK with being blocked from getting good vaccines because I also can't get guns and they're too different to complain about both?

Or the other way around? Or either way around, as long as I pick one and not both?

    Or something else?

None of those make sense, so if one of those is what you're saying, you're wrong. But if it's the "something else" option, I might need a fuller explanation so that I can understand without already understanding before reading

  • Weak gaslighting attempt. If you feel like gaslighting me, I recommend trying on nostr. I think I take people more seriously there because they're at least replying where there are no bans / post removals

  • It seems like if you had an answer for this, you'd have made it unnecessary to ask instead of just insulting me, but what do you mean?

  • The people actually making the decisions are pretending to know nothing when they present people who actually know nothing as their public speaking people.

But also, sometimes the public speaking people are just pretending to know less than they do themselves.

    1. I asked if you double checked your statement, not if you felt like rephrasing how you think it's OK to violate my rights
    2. If it was OK to violate my rights by limiting me to guns that don't shoot many bullets or something, that would still not justify what's happening in the real world, where I'm entirely banned from owning any gun at all and also from using many vaccines
    3. Even if you didn't do stuff like ban vaccines and entire gun ownership, it still wouldn't be OK to do stuff like limit me to shitty guns in a country like the US where the people are supposed to have the right to overthrow the authorities in an armed militia
    4. Reiterating point 1: think about how bad of a person you are for making me spend this time typing this, taking the topic so fucking far from the question of how you double checked your statement
  • Ask yourself why you're making me waste time listening to you pretend you can't understand how people use meme formats

  • When you're targeted enough, you use it for regular email and stuff. Not sure if you get that. There are probably people who use piefed through tor

  • That growth is a good sign, thank you

  • Copied and pasted from the post you're commenting on:

Morpheus meme format, repurposed to represent US uniparty politics, not blindly misused without understanding it as some commenters keep saying

  • It's good to reduce the number of parties that can be accountable for leaks.

If the authorities that can triangulate the locations of everyone's phone numbers are the only ones that should be able to identify you, then at least you know who any ID leaks are coming from. That data being resold on the market should at least make those authorities look worse than if they were just letting random people get away with it.

At the same time, if it's being oversold as more of an absolute privacy thing, making promises it can't deliver, that makes the whole thing dubious to trust.

  • If you've been here for a while, do you think there's still user growth going on for lemmy/piefed or it's kind of locked down to the current user base?

  • Removed

  • Israelis keep violating their "ceasefire deals," killing people in Gaza, Lebanon, etc. The US also keeps ignoring it / pretending it isn't happening.
