Powell’s first response suggests this is going to be gloves off - and the bond market should be worried. If China wanted to establish the renminbi as a replacement for the dollar as the world’s reserve currency they could not have found a better method than have the US President try and prosecute the head of the Fed.

The United States Department of Homeland Security labeled on Wednesday the incident that took place in Minnesota as "an act of domestic terrorism."

In a social media post, the authorities said that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers were in the area conducting targeted operations "when rioters began blocking" them. "One of these violent rioters weaponized her vehicle, attempting to run over our law enforcement officers in an attempt to kill them," it was further written in the statement.

The department detailed that one of the ICE officers opened fire in order to protect his own life and the lives of his colleagues, killing the alleged perpetrator. Meanwhile, some ICE officers were reported to have been injured. "This is the direct consequence of constant attacks and demonization of our officers by sanctuary politicians who fuel and encourage rampant assaults on our law enforcement," Homeland Security stated.

It really isnt beyond the realm of imagination that the US would sign up to this and then:

- Declare under a false flag that Ukraine had breached terms

- Russia goes back on the offensive after having had a breather to mobilize more troops and rearm

- European militaries are committed to Ukraine and stretched thin

- Trump goes for Greenland
