  • what purpose of the site if you cant use it for registration? regarding your notice reddit has onion site too for example but after I cant login to my account after sign up too... facebook has onion site too but if you sign up through onion site they will restrict your account and ask for id.. So maybe its not something that important?

  • I use posteo.de provider, it costs 1 eur for month, 3 adress, they have inbound encryption of emails as proton, also they dont accept crypto but you can pay by cash and card and "All of our payment methods are anonymised using a payment system developed by Posteo. We do not link payment information with email accounts." You can learn more about their privacy features on their site https://posteo.de/en/site/features#featuresprivacy

  • Hi, they have average response time 1 month. Probably it'is not useful when you want create account now, yes? "instead of trying to get help you decided to complain on lemmy" and what? proton blocked tor, it is their decision, it is not a bug. I have my other email provider so I do not need to beg proton to unblock tor registration. My objective was to inform lemmy users about this, I did not ask for help in my post as you noticed. If proton company is interested in their customers they can monitor such complaints but since they "cut their presence" on mastodon and opensource media platforms it will not happen.

  • Because i can easely create account on clearnet

  • people around you choose them

The ancient Romans did not like Christians and therefore one of their favorite entertainments was to gather in amphitheaters and watch as defenseless Christians were thrown into a cage with tigers and torn apart. People received positive emotions, it united the spirit of the nation, and children also had fun. Another example is that after a shipwreck, people on a boat wandered in the ocean for several days and were starving, having no food, they decided that it was better to die alone than to die together and ate a young boy. Then they were rescued. These are real examples of how your utilitarian philosophy is disadvantaged and its shortcomings.

  • I agree. The real problem is that most people are not aware of this. I see a lot of nationalist propaganda online that advocates for using "European private services". Although, for now, some European countries (mostly Germany) have excellent services for preserving privacy (email, mastodon instances, lemmy instances, etc), the EU's privacy legislation is deteriorating, and the issue of the lack of "confidential" services located outside the EU is becoming important. I haven't found a single popular confidential email provider with servers outside the EU. As for those who might mention Iceland, it's worth noting that they have clear plans to join the EU in the near future.

  • About if it is possible that goverment is interested - I don't know if you're Polish or familiar with the situation in Poland, but currently, a trial is underway in Poland, initiated by the pseudo-liberal opposition, regarding the illegal surveillance of journalists and independent political candidates in the 2019 elections using Pegasus. This surveillance was approved by national Polish courts. If a framework had existed at that time, they might have been able to gather much more compromising evidence on political opponents much faster.

Regarding your opinion that the government doesn't crack down on criticism on the internet, it's worth noting that the Polish Minister of Justice still insists on the maximum criminal punishment for two women who showed a depiction of the Virgin Mary in rainbow colors, as he claims it's an insult to religion. Since the ruling ultra-right party in Poland is a clearly clerical party with strong ties to Catholicism and has repeatedly used Catholic themes in their speeches, for them, it's evidently a priority to eradicate dissent in the country. The Minister of Justice's actions clearly confirm this.

I also use the term 'government' in relation to judicial investigations deliberately, as Poland has been subject to EU sanctions due to the government's force on the judicial system

  • It was supposed to be an alliance to prevent further wars in Europe and it’s becoming a political union. What’s wrong with that?

for that purpose the NATO was created, not EU - it was trade union as the previous commentator said.

  • I have tried a new circuite before publish this post - without success. but considering that I use their onion adress they could nit see my tor exit node as far as I now, anyway.

  • Will you replace visa/mastercard? If no there is no real independence.

  • I had simular experience, these platforms are not interested in professional investigation or any investigation, they just lock you in using contract clasule and sometimes you can not even sue platform for contract violations because of their umbrella agreement

  • At that moment you could create account on Google without sending your ID but they could restrict your account for "age verification" and ask for ID.

  • matrix.org - new tiers for premium and free accounts on the matrix.org homeserver

    Jump
  • What greedy matrix admin...

  • Yes, firstly they remove headphone jack because of "security protection" then they remove bootloader settings for "security protection" LOL

  • It would be funny if someone changed his name to someting like Jack Blow Job and upload id and started leaving comments on the whole "family friendly" Internet under this name 😂

  • Probably it will not be all "internet" but some parts of it. Since I already live without many invasive services it shouldnt be big challenge for me. Obviously Facebook and Google already asks for ID everyone, so any changes at all. Probably its better do not exist on the internet than exist on castrated, polished, theocratic internet

  • As far as I know our contractual law prevent being liable for damage caused by users own usage of a hardware or software. This is why tor browser developers arent in trial as liable for some scams that some users do using their software - because of their contract policy. So this excuse is jot valid - they locked bootloader jot because they are obligated or fear trial just because they do not luke private os which prevent them from harvesesting users data

  • The Same with Telegram, his fiunder - Nikolai Dutov still lives in Russia and CEO lives in UAE.

  • I saw it, of cource they didnt publish no apk or aab. I dont think a lot of people will compile from the source code, maybe like 0.05% of users
