  • I assume they’d use a urine cup

  • So if someone wants to rent/buy one of these apartments, they will be mandated by law to also cover the cost of parking stall even if they literally don’t want it and won’t ever use it? Makes no sense.

  • I like learning new tech too, but if we’re being realistic then we have to admit that the fediverse will not grow unless we spoon feed it to people. Maybe we don’t want it to grow that much. That’s a conversation we could have. But we should acknowledge that there are tradeoffs here

  • It sucks and its at the point now where were hitting diminishing returns so I’m not sire if it sill get better

  • Who are they (if you feel continue sharing)? It sounds like there’s a story here

  • Yes but the extent to which they'd go to oppose the Soviets even on trivial matters seems silly

  • Okay. I didn’t realize that’s how it worked over there. Thanks for sharing.

  • Interesting, I didn’t know that

  • So in high school languages are just an elective, not a requirement?

  • Depends how far you are from the Sun

  • I see. That’s a little surprising to me. I didn’t realize that there is basically no language education there

  • Well, if we had these aboard the International Space Station or a spaceship, we could simply choose to crank the heat down in the computer room. Might actually save energy in that case.

    Dream big!

  • There you go. So I think adding DMs to ActivityPub would add an extra level of convenience

  • That’s a distinction that only matters to nerds.

Luckily most of us on here are nerds so it’s all good.

  • Matrix is not really integrated into the ActivityPub protocol the same way DMs usually are. I would have to open a separate application to message you on Matrix, I can’t just click on your profile and shoot you a DM (or can I?).

  • I see thanks for clarifying

  • I didn’t know that. Either way it seems a bit odd that the CIA would care so deeply about matters of artistic taste

  • Do you guys not have any language classes in the public school system at all in the US? Not trying to be rude I just dont know how things work there

  • Same experience for me. Once in highschool (at an English speaking school) you could choose to branch off from French and learn either Spanish or Japanese (or all the above) if you wanted to.
