  • I'd like to see Google try and run their company without open source. The operating system, programming language, databases, language libraries, network stack, etc. is such a long list of crucial things. Google is being totally nonsensical to suggest open source doesn't drive a large part of today's economy.

  • I've been with my partner for about 15 years and we are not married. We have no plans for kids and we keep our finances separate so there wasn't much use. However, being married could be a benefit for migrating to another country.

    Depending on the state, a divorce through a court isn't easy even with agreeable parties. We also move states a lot and don't want to have to do that in a state we no longer live in.

  • Oh also, one time I was in a 4 player demolition derby and we all chose the flatmobile. It was a map where it went to a ramp in the middle and everyone started out pointing right at it. We all just raced to the middle and simultaneously crashed and also crashed the game. I think that was the only time I witnessed the game crashing.

  • Thanks. What I thought after reading the docs a bit. I'll look at some more options. I'm looking for a solution that doesn't rely on internet or other infrastructure likely to be targeted in an attack. Likely what I'm looking for does not exist or is not built out near me.
