  • What a shit take, lol. Clothes had still been designed by humans for your weird comparison. Machines just made them easier to replicate. We already have the same for music, video and the like. It's called files you can easily distribute through the internet instead of having to go to see a concert to experience music. We've already been drowning in more handmade videos and music than a person can consume, very often for free or for very little money.

  • Guter Punkt. Ich habe die Terminologie nie hinterfragt. Eins der Videos heißt tatsächlich "climbing SOLO with...". Vielleicht bezieht sich das solo eher darauf, dass einem niemand bei der Route hilft

  • Alex Honnold hat tatsächlich am Fels schon viel krassere Sachen gemacht und ich bin mir nicht sicher ob das "in Anführungszeichen" nicht auf das Geld bezogen ist. Der Typ klettert einfach gerne und auch gerne ungesichert, nachdem er die Routen gut genug gelernt hat. Ich glaube, der macht das nicht für das Geld.

    Ich bin mir ziemlich sicher, dass er hier keine Schwierigkeiten haben wird, außer vielleicht sehr starken Wind. ABER ich erinnere mich an einen Kommentar, den er in einem Video gemacht hat, wo er mit Magnus Mitbø free solo geklettert ist. Er meinte, dass er selten dazu kommt, das mit anderen zu machen, weil all seine früheren Klettepartner entweder Kinder haben oder Tod sind. Er ist auch selbst schon häufig vom Berg gefallen und ist nur durch viel Glück noch am Leben (landen auf einem kleinen Absatz, anstatt weiter zu stürzen. durch einen kleinen Baum verhindert werden, weiter zu stürzen usw.)

  • This update is more important because before this, the awards granted the recipient steam points that they could trade for cosmetics to have even have a more legit looking account to try to scam people with. So the awards gave points and there was a clown award -> trolls post ragebait, often in the form of queer hate or fake queer demands, to farm clown awards for points. The hope is, that now that the recipients don't get points anymore, the troll farming stops at least in part.

  • The important part here is that it's an extra stat that everyone has. It's not like DnD or Pathfinder where you know magic and your modifier comes from one of your normal stats and everyone else does not know magic. Magic Talent is an extra that every class has and every class can eventually make use of if they live long enough. It's also the implication that you don't have a magic on/off switch that is rolled at birth. Everyone has that possibility but has to go through training to use it.

  • I like Midgard, the first German fantasy ttrpg, in that regard. Every character has magic talent as a stat like dexterity, strength or int. When starting out, only some classes have already learned to use that inherent ability everyone has but there's rules for learning magic for non magic classes. Granted this cost a helluva lot of exp to do but it is possible and takes a bit away from that special people factor
