Got sniped by a Reddit bot and had my almost 100k karma account banned, new home here for now until I go back. I'm a man of MANY interests NSFW and SFW alike.   • I've said this before that typically people don't know what they are talking about AI, but I don't expect this from people who SHOULD know what AI is.

    There could be technologies that AI can assist with, hell I'm not a game dev but I assume even back in the day, devs used tricks and technologies that today could be considered as AI

    However AI as in it will write you code, generate you a game and write you a story? Hell no.

  • It is scary how the AI can't assist you with sexual fantasies/roleplays but can assist with that, even though I'm curious what the logs are because I think OpenAI is at least smart enough to tell you "Hey, please don't do that here's some numbers" even if you push it I think.

  • Funny thing is I still don't know why they needed a new version of Windows for that, I mean 10 was already bloat they could have just shoved AI into it, as in the TPM 2.0 they could have just made a new 25H(whatever the fuck) version where you'd need to enable that on the motherboard.

  • The 9070XT is a good card for the price, and that doesn't tell us a lot, there's going to be markets where AMD does better and some where Nvidia does better, as an AMD user I feel like they still fall behind with their drivers, I've had many Driver timeouts with my RX6700XT just because I was hitting alt tab on CS2, I've never had it on Nvidia.

    Also someone who does a lot of upscaling with Topaz I would have loved to see AMD making some serious grounds there there's no reason why they should be that behind with content creators, I don't think we'll ever see the GPU department catching up as the CPU did with Ryzen but I feel like everytime Nvidia fucks something up, AMD does the same so It's a game of who's going to fuck up more.

    I bought the 6700xt just because I was contemplating on the 3070 but I saw it was an 8GB VRAM card and I thought yeah miss me with that shit.

  • I have forced Vulkan on the settings in appdata/local/starcitizen, and it is optimizing shaders right now which pretty much the first time I opened Star Citizen this week it didn't do, it may be good news, I'll update in a bit

  • Yeah, I'm starting to believe it's the drivers it's either AMD not fixing the issues or RSI not bothering since the mast majority of the fanbase is on Nvidia, I've seen youtube videos with less powerful AMD GPUs than mine and they run the game just fine. To be honest I'm not going to go too far and try different drivers,

    Still though, massively unoptimized, I'm trying to mess with the Vulkan more and if it doesn't do anything I'll just delete the game and come back when it's fixed.
