  • Off to a horrible start

  • Maybe I don't understand that site, but you click on the 99% rating and you get a list of reviews that shows 20 rotten, 2 fresh. Just a bad look imo.

  • I mentioned how pervasive US is with regards to internet infrastructure way back 80 years ago when the orange menace first threatened Canadian sovereignty, and got downvoted for suggesting people lobby their reps to wean off the US teat.

I see Cloudflare, AmazonWS. Akamai (MS) and/or Google services running 90% of websites. Notably Canadian gov and news sites regardless of ownership.

  • a ** premium rate line which cost** £2.

    New rage unlocked.

  • Neelix: Huh, I don't know that!... No, wait!

  • 25H2 is Microsoft's latest major release, featuring a refined interface, faster performance, enhanced security, and better hardware support. It's the most polished Windows 11 experience, making it ideal for virtual machines.

This is either the biggest load of horse manure ever vomited or a scathing indictment of the true quality of MS product. Either way, i am glad i don't need those instructions.

  • They were institutionalized more because they were perceived as threats to normal society than having debilitating conditions, due to their being genetically modified.

Bashir would have grown up with them had his gene therapy been discovered in childhood and imo would have resulted in some eccentricities of his own.

  • See the end of my previous statement.

  • The 9/11 Terrorists were Muslim / The 9/11 Terrorists were Muslim

The Oct. 7th terrorist attackers were Muslim / The Oct. 7th terrorist attackers were Muslim

And the Iranian State backing terrorism is a self proclaimed Islamic Republic / Iran is Muslim

    So Terrorism is....

See what this kind of BS logic can lead to? F off with this rampant bigotry.

  • Natanson said she does not use biometrics for her devices, but after investigators told her to try, “when she applied her index finger to the fingerprint reader, the laptop unlocked.”

Use biometric security at your own risk.

  • Fax? WTF is that?

  • It is when the president is a felon apparently

  • Same reason nerf bats are allowed.

  • Same reason they are allowed to sell nerf bats for children. It looks violent, but in reality is essentially harmless. Two guys trying to keep steady on ice while grabbing onto each other's jerseys have no leverage. They're both wearing mouthguards and helmets and as soon as they fall to the ice where leverage IS possible the refs stop that shit immediately.

You ever see either of the 2 'combatants' get examined by a medic, let alone rushed to the hospital, after a fight? No. They go right to the box for 5 minutes to cool down because all they did was tire each other out. Hockey players have to deal with far more violent events dozens of times a period in normal play.

Boxing and Pro Wrestling are far better targets for people against this. It is literally a sport about fighting. Ban martial arts competitions too while you're at it. 2 guys flailing on ice to rile up their teammates is small fry.

  • The enemy can't push a button if you cut off his hand.

  • Too funny. They'd need to go back to Win95 for all that.

  • He does Swamp Thing too. Pretty great

  • It felt like watching the WB. It's aiming for teen demo and I'm... not that.

  • I agree 100% with the sentiment, but it 100% does not apply to Linux. The (when it actually exists which too often it doesn't) 'manual' 90% of the time is written out of order by an expert presuming that 98% of what is being stated isn't greek to the newb and consequently ends up being completely useless if not downright harmful for them.

My favourite so far is: App has feature that can be installed but requires several dependencies before it will install it. The feature has it's own 'handy' cli command to point to an AppImage for a dependency which is useless because THE APP WON"T INSTALL THE FEATURE IN THE FIRST PLACE WITHOUT THE DEPENDENCY.

I don't want to spend all my spare time for a week learning about commands and syntax for 5 other distros trying to figure out why this fucking [insert device that supposedly nobody else ever has a problem with] isn't working. I'm not looking for a job in IT. I don't want to burn my eyeballs out translating nerdspeak. This isn't fun. I just want to click it and it works, which is apparently still too much to ask for after 20 years and 600 stupid distros later.

RTFM. GFY Linux. Learn how to write manuals first. Far as I can see, it's a bunch of BS instructions that error out halfway through for some reason or another.
