Lemmy.zip proxied images not embedding properly in Alexandrite

I don't know what changed, but just a week ago images linked in posts were embedded faithfully at full size when opened as a post. Now, I have to click on the link itself to see the full image.

  • I liked when he said "Windows talks to you like a baby" because it perfectly explained how it feels to use Windows

But, ah...I don't see what any of this has to do with my post.

I made a little sorta Windows Aero-esque app launcher icon for Arch Linux.

For reasons unknown, this file and only this file is highlighted on hover. Nothing else works, not even the default icon. It's also a little small, but I don't know how to change that.

Also, this was like my second time using Inkscape to make something, so be nice. Arch Linux icon vector graphic is from...gonna be real, I forget. I made this months ago.

    Hopefully the animated webp loads.

    Here's a link to the icon. https://github.com/DaforLynx/arch-linux-applauncher-icon

  • Where does 7z fit into all of this?

  • Threw on a rather unoptimized build today using chromatic blade + furious javelin + melee influence on base Excalibur and tore through lvl 200 Techrot easier than i ever have before. That arcane is insane.

  • Lemmy uses markdown to format posts. So yeah, a "markdown mode" would be awesome (just insert escape characters before each and etc.)

Or maybe I'm wrong ٩(。•́‿•̀。)۶ (huh, Voyager comes with an emoticon picker)

Edit: it worked, I'm not wrong

  • My Sampotes goes kind of crazy, especially once Warframe buffs come into play. It's honestly stupid funny, but I'm sure there's a ceiling where it stops working.

  • The quest was awesome, and the new missions and enemies are nice. The tank assassination mission beat my ass for half an hour during a bounty - i was not prepared. Nyx rework is fun. Can't wait to get to rank 5, eventually.

  • Big agree. I bought it day one because initial reviews were good. Remember people saying Bethesda cooked? Played it till 6AM that day. A week later I booted it up again, and... After a few hours, I stopped and never opened it again. I don't know exactly why. It's exactly what we expected - Skyrim in space. But I think the realistic space-explorer fantasy and not very gripping story or characters just didn't appeal to me as much as i thought it would, and made me want to play TES instead.

  • I was made aware of this game not long ago, drawn by its strong Redwall energy. Really interested in playing or running it.

Though I can't help but notice how this "review" really doesn't mention any downsides whatsoever. Maybe that's just how the reviewer rolls.

  • You just dropped a mind bomb on me. Suddenly things make sense :o

  • Blimey, one look at the sodding harefolk and Redwall was all I could think about, too. Wot!

  • Sucks to be me, who relatively recently hopped on the train and is actually excited to see what happens after this saga.

When art cares only about being profitable...

Then again, I see what they were saying about overdelivering. How do i say this. When expectations are high, so is the risk. The more resources you put into a release, the greater the loss if it fails. Live service is all about momentum, and once you lose momentum, it takes a very careful hand to make sure everything doesn't fall apart. Bungie is not led by careful hands, it seems.

  • Interesting that it mentions this.

The layoffs are part of a larger money-saving initiative at Sony’s PlayStation unit, which has also cut employees at studios such as Naughty Dog, Media Molecule and its San Mateo office.

So it seems Bungie management was told by Sony to start snipping after all? I don't know what to make of this.

Also, crazy that Mike Salvatori of all people was let go. Maybe he can team back up with Marty now...

  • Very exciting. I somehow had no idea they even had a BC. I'm listening to these immediately

  • Permanently Deleted

  • Or old books! I just love the smell of books in general.

  • Sorry, are you converting it, lossily, twice? That's like twice the lossiness! Just convert it once.

  • It's a manual disable that Bungie enacted while they presumably fix some exploits or gamebreaking bugs. Guardian ranks have nothing to do with them being locked, just so you know.

  • Wow. What a show. I am so excited for the experiences DE has in store for both Soulframe and Warframe. It's crazy that we're able to have them for free. And i think that's very important.

  • Refugees? What happened to lemmy.world?

    Thoughts on Pleroma?

Looking for alternatives to Twitter microblogging. Mastodon seemed cool but has its downsides. Pleroma purports to be lighter-weight to host and fully ActivityPub compatible. What's the catch?

(I am not very experienced with the fediverse, having only just joined Lemmy)

Maybe hosting communities here isn't a good idea after all

After all, don't many platforms (or heck, browsers) render .zip URLs nonfunctional due to security concerns? Meaning our community.lemmy.zip links may not automatically hyperlink when we want them to, or it may trigger security risk popups. Whoops. Feel free to correct me.
